Luís Miguel Fraga de Magalhães Mota (born 14 September 1974) is a Portuguese futsal Coach (sport), coach and former futsal Sportsperson, player who played as a winger. He is the head coach of the Portuguese II Divisão Futsal, II Divisão club Associação Recreativa de Freixieiro, Freixieiro. As a player Mota won two Liga Portuguesa de Futsal, Portuguese futsal leagues with Miramar Futsal Clube, Miramar and played for the Portugal national futsal team, Portugal national team in the 1999 UEFA Futsal Championship, 1999 Euros and the 2000 FIFA Futsal World Championship, 2000 World Cup. Futsal
Futsal is a football-based game played on a hardcourt, hard court smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It has similarities to five-a-side football and Indoor soccer, indoor football. Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted. Unlike some other forms of indoor soccer, it is played on a hard court surface marked by lines; walls or boards are not used. It is played with a smaller, harder, lower-bounce ball than football. The surface, ball and rules favour ball control and passing in small spaces. The game emphasizes control, improvisation, creativity and technique.
