In May 1998 Migliorini was a co-defendant along with Andrew Shoemaker, and Alan C. Greenberg "Ace" in a fraud, churning and unauthorized trading case. Renato Helios Migliorini (June 26, 1926 in Jaú – January 16, 2008 in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil) was a Brazilian physician, biomedical scientist, biochemist and full professor of physiology at the Medical School of Ribeirão Preto of the University of São Paulo. Migliorini graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo in 1949. He obtained a doctorate with his animal research work on the role of estrogens in diabetes. In 1953, he was hired as full-time instructor in the recently founded Department of Physiology of the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto, where he worked until very shortly before his death at 82 years of age. He did his postdoctoral studies at UCLA on a scholarship from the Rockefeller Foundation from 1959 to 1960. Bruno Migliorini (; 19 November 1896 – 18 June 1975) was an Italian linguist and philologist. He was the author of one of the first scientific histories of Italian language and was president of the Accademia della Crusca. Biography Migliorini was born in Rovigo. He studied at Ca' Foscari university in Venice, then in the faculty of Letters of the University of Padua. After the Italian defeat in the Battle of Caporetto (1917), his family was forced to move to Rome. There, at the University La Sapienza, he met his masters, the philologists Ernesto Monaci and Cesare De Lollis, and, from 1920, collaborated to '' La Cultura'', a journal whose founders included De Lollis himself and Giovanni Gentile.
