Salernitana
Unione Sportiva Salernitana 1919, commonly referred to as Salernitana, is an Italian football club based in Salerno, Campania. The original club was founded in 1919 and has been reconstituted three times in the course of its history, most recently in 2011. The current club is the heir of the former ''Salernitana Calcio 1919'' and it restarted from Serie D in the 2011–12 season. Salernitana returned to Serie A in 2021, after a break of 23 seasons, having finished second in Serie B. 2020–21 Serie B
The 2020–21 Serie B (known as the Serie BKT for sponsorship reasons) was the 89th season of the Serie B since its establishment in 1929. It started on 25 September 2020 and ended on 10 May 2021. On 5 November 2020, Serie B announced it would use VAR from the second half of the season. However, it was used only on promotion play-off matches. DAZN broadcast all matches live domestically, with MyCujoo further distributing games in 15 countries. Stefano Colantuono
Stefano Colantuono (born 23 October 1962) is an Italian football professional football manager and former player, who played as a defender, currently in charge as youth system chief of Salernitana. Playing career Colantuono, a centre back, started his playing career for Serie D side Velletri in 1981. In 1983, he moved to Ternana of Serie C1, then Arezzo of Serie B, and finally made his Serie A debut for Pisa. He played Serie A until 1990 for several teams. In 1991, he accepted to play in the national futsal league for BNL Roma, winning a ''scudetto''. Following this experience, Colantuono played mostly at lower levels, especially Serie C2 and Serie D, and even Eccellenza for Sambenedettese in 1994–95. Davide Nicola
Davide Nicola (born 5 March 1973) is an Italian professional football manager and former player. He was most recently head coach of Serie A club Salernitana. Club career Nicola was born in Luserna San Giovanni. During his time in Genoa C.F.C. he was noted for kissing a policewoman on the sideline after a goal. He also helped the club to lift the 1996 Anglo-Italian Cup. In the Serie B 2005–06 playoffs he scored a goal that gave his Torino F.C. a promotion to Serie A. In the 2006–07 season of Serie B his good play for Spezia Calcio in the last few games contributed to Spezia avoiding relegation. Fabrizio Castori (born 11 July 1954) is an Italian football coach. He is currently in charge of club Perugia. Career Castori was born in San Severino Marche, but grew up in Tolentino. He started his coaching career in 1980 at the age of 26 as head coach of ''Seconda Categoria'' team Belfortese from Belforte del Chienti. Initially a boss for amateur teams, having spent three seasons in ''Seconda Categoria'' (second-lowest division in Italian football) and three others in Prima Categoria, he led a '' Promozione'' team, Cerreto, to reach Serie D in 1990 (there was no ''Eccellenza'' division at that time). Milan Đurić (; born 22 May 1990) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Serie A club Hellas Verona. Đurić started his professional career at Cesena, before joining Parma in 2010. Later that year, he was loaned to Ascoli and to Crotone a year later. Lega Pro Prima Divisione was the third highest football league in Italy. It consisted of 33 teams, divided geographically into two divisions of 16 and 17 teams for group A and B respectively. Until 2008 it was known as Serie C1. Before the 1978–79 season there were only three leagues of professional football in Italy, the third being Serie C. In 1978, it was decided to split Serie C into Serie C1 and Serie C2. Lega Pro Seconda Divisione was the fourth highest football league in Italy, the lowest with a professional status. Usually it consisted of 36 teams, but in the 2011–12 season, there were 41 teams divided geographically into two divisions of 20 and 21.
