Midwest Independent Film Festival
The Midwest Film Festival is the USA's only film festival solely dedicated to Midwest films. Only films from the eight-state Midwest region of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin are considered for screening. The festival is hosted every first Tuesday of the month, initially at Chicago's Landmark Century Centre Cinema and presently at the Gene Siskel Film Center. Originally named the Midwest Independent Film Festival in 2004, the festival formally changed its name to the Midwest Film Festival in 2020 in a rebranding strategy spearheaded by festival director Erica Duffy. Midwest
The Midwestern United States, also referred to as the Midwest or the American Midwest, is one of four Census Bureau Region, census regions of the United States Census Bureau (also known as "Region 2"). It occupies the northern central part of the United States. It was officially named the North Central Region by the Census Bureau until 1984. It is between the Northeastern United States and the Western United States, with Canada to the north and the Southern United States to the south. The Census Bureau's definition consists of 12 states in the north central United States: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Laura Elizabeth Metcalf (born June 16, 1955) is an American actress. Often described as a character actor, she's known for her complex and versitile roles across the stage and screen. Lance Barber (born June 29, 1973) is an American actor. He is best known for playing George Cooper, Sr. on the CBS sitcom ''Young Sheldon'' (2017–present), as well as Bill Ponderosa on the FX show ''It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia''. Mark Borchardt (born August 20, 1966) is an American independent filmmaker. He is best known as the subject of the 1999 film ''American Movie'', which documented three years he spent writing, shooting and editing his horror short, '' Coven'' (1997). Early life Borchardt was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His mother, Monica, is Swedish. He started making films at the age of fourteen with a super-8 camera that was given to him by a neighbor. After serving three years in the military, he continued his cinematic endeavors at the local university. The Godfather Of Green Bay
''The Godfather of Green Bay'' is a fictional comedic movie released in 2005. It follows the tale of stand-up comedian Joe Keegan (played by Pete Schwaba). Joe makes a last-ditch effort to save his career by traveling to a small Wisconsin town where a scout for ''The Tonight Show'' is in the audience at "Rocktoberfest". ''The Godfather of Green Bay'' refers to a particularly difficult audience member named Big Jake Norquist (played by Tony Goldwyn) at Joe's final performance, who just so happens to be interested in Joe's girlfriend.
