Middle East Pact
Middle East Pact, formerly AFEMO (The Francophone Association for Middle East Studies), was created in February 2004 by a group of French-speaking activists. Since its creation by Meir Masri, Middle East Pact (MEP) has assumed the mission of making French-speaking academia aware of numerous challenges that confront the people of this region, particularly with regards to the violations of human and minority rights, and problems linked with insecurity. In France, AFEMO had offices for four years at the Sciences-Politiques Institute at Toulouse and at Lille Lille ( , ; nl, Rijsel ; pcd, Lile; vls, Rysel) is a city in the northern part of France, in French Flanders. Meir Masri
Meir Masri (Hebrew: מאיר מסרי, born 23 April 1984) is an Israeli author, professor and scholar of political science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and an expert in international relations who lives in Jerusalem and Paris. He graduated from the Institut d'études politiques de Toulouse, Institute of Political Studies of Toulouse (known in French as Sciences Po Toulouse) and earned his doctorate in geopolitics from the Centre of Geopolitical Analysis and Research (known in French as the Centre de recherches et d'analyses géopolitiques) at the University of Paris VIII in March 2015. Masri is the author of numerous books in French and articles published in Israeli newspapers.
