Mickey Levy
Mickey Levy ( he, מִיקִי לֵוִי, born 21 June 1951) is an Israeli politician who currently serves as a member of the Knesset for Yesh Atid and is a former Speaker of the Knesset. He served as Deputy Minister of Finance between 2013 and 2014. Before entering politics, he was a police officer. Biography Levy was born in Jerusalem to immigrant parents who were Sephardic and Kurdish Jewish origin from Cizre, Turkey. He did his military service in the Israel Defense Forces in the Paratroopers Brigade. After being discharged from the military, he joined the Israel Police and held a series of command positions. He served as head of Jerusalem branch of the Israel Police between 2000 and 2004, winning the Knight of Good Government award in 2002. After retiring he worked as the Israeli police attaché in Washington, D.C. until 2007. Egged Ta'avura
Egged Ta'avura ( he, אֶגֶד תַּעֲבוּרָה) is an Israeli bus company. It is a subsidiary of the Egged Bus Cooperative and Ta'avura Holdings, and was founded by a merger of two smaller Egged subsidiaries, following privatization and public transportation reform in Israel in the 2000s. Its chairman is Gideon Mizrahi, and the CEO is the retired Israel Police Major General Mickey Levi. In March 2007, five Egged Ta'avura drivers were killed in a traffic accident in the Ginaton Junction (Highways 40 and 443). A monument was erected for them on the grounds of the Ashkelon Central Bus Station. Fleet and operations Egged Ta'avura operates routes in the areas of Ma'ale Adumim, and the West Bank. Mevaseret Zion ( he, מְבַשֶּׂרֶת צִיּוֹן, literal meaning: Herald of Zion – Jerusalem) is a suburb of Jerusalem with the administrative status of a local council. Legislative elections were held in Israel on 1 November 2022 to elect the 120 members of the 25th Knesset.
