Mick Ryan (golfer)
Michael Joseph Ryan (18 July 1897 – 1 August 1965) was an Australian amateur golfer who won the Australian Open in 1932. He also played Australian rules football for South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Ryan made just one senior appearance for South Melbourne, in the 1918 VFL season, when they defeated Richmond in a game at Lake Oval. South Melbourne went on to win the premiership that year. Ryan joined the Royal Park Golf Club in 1925 and won their Championship the following year. He later went to Kingston Heath. In 2002 he was named as one of the twelve members of the Victorian golfing team of the 20th century. Mick Ryan (2 June 1925–7 December 2007) was an Irish people, Irish sportsperson. He played hurling at various times with the Roscrea GAA, Roscrea, Dicksboro GAA, Dicksboro, Blackrock National Hurling Club, Blackrock and St Finbarr's National Hurling & Football Club, St Finbarr's clubs and was a member at senior level of the Tipperary county hurling team, Tipperary county team from 1946 until 1954. Mick Ryan was born in Roscrea, County Tipperary, Ireland, in 1925. He played inter-county hurling for his native, Tipperary from 1946 to 1955, picking up three All Ireland Senior Hurling Championships in a row. He played for various clubs in Tipperary, Kilkenny and Cork. Mick Ryan (Borris–Ileigh Hurler)
Michael Ryan (born 1960) is an Irish former hurler. At club level he played with Borris–Ileigh and was also a member of the Tipperary senior hurling team. Career Ryan played hurling as a schoolboy at Our Lady's Secondary School in Templemore where he won a Croke and Harty Cup double in 1978. He first played for Borris–Ileigh at juvenile and underage levels, before winning a divisional medal with the junior team in 1978. Ryan's career with the club's senior team spanned three decades, during which time he won three North Tipperary SHC titles and three Tipperary SHC titles. He was captain of the Borris–Ileigh team that beat Rathnure in the 1987 All-Ireland club final. Ryan first played for Tipperary during a two-year tenure at minor level. Lionel William "Mick" Ryan (1884 – 6 February 1970) was an Australian politician. He was born in Bathurst to Thomas and Abigail Ryan. He was a rural worker who was active in the Australian Workers' Union. From 1925 to 1943 he was a Labor member of the New South Wales Legislative Council. He opposed Jack Lang and sat as Federal Labor in the 1930s; he also took an active organisational role in Federal Labor in opposition to Lang Labor in federal and state elections. Mick Ryan (racehorse Trainer)
Michael John Ryan (19 May 1941 – 27 January 2022) was a British horse trainer who trained horses which competed in both Flat racing and National Hunt racing. Ryan's training career began in 1976 and ended in 2005. He trained the winners of over 700 races and had his biggest success when the filly Katies won the Irish 1,000 Guineas in 1984. He was also successful in races at the Cheltenham Festival and Royal Ascot. He died on 27 January 2022, at the age of 80. The Australian Defence College (ADC) comprises three joint education and training organisations operated by the Australian Defence Force in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory: * the War College, * the Australian Defence Force Training Centre (ADFTC), and * the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA).
