Mick Daniels
Michael Daniels (13 October 1905 – 12 May 1995) was an Irish sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club Army Metro and was a member of the Dublin senior inter-county team from 1930 until 1939. Daniels captained Dublin to All-Ireland victory in 1938. Playing career Club Daniels played his club hurling with his local club Army Metro and enjoyed much success. He won his first senior county title in 1933 and added two more county medals to his collection in 1935 and 1938. Inter-county Daniels first came to prominence on the inter-county scene with Dublin in the early 1930s. He made his debut in 1930 when he came on as a substitute in the All-Ireland final. Dublin played Tipperary on that occasion, however, the victory went to the men from Tipp. ‘The Dubs’ reached the Leinster finals again in 1932 and 1933, however, Kilkenny emerged victorious on both occasions. National Hurling League
The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. Although primarily a competition for Irish teams, teams from England – currently Lancashire GAA, Lancashire, London GAA, London and Warwickshire GAA, Warwickshire – also take part, while in the past New York GAA, New York also fielded a team for the latter stages of the league. Dublin Inter-county Hurlers

Jimmy Walsh (Kilkenny Hurler)
James Walsh (4 February 1911 – 26 December 1977) was an Irish hurler who played as a left wing-forward for the Kilkenny senior team. Born in Ballyhale, County Kilkenny, Walsh first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of twenty-one when he first linked up with the Kilkenny senior team. He made his debut during the 1932 championship. Walsh immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won one All-Ireland medals, seven Leinster medals and eight National League medals. The All-Ireland-winning captain in 1932, he was an All-Ireland runner-up on two occasions. As a member of the Leinster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Walsh won two Railway Cup medals. At club level he was a six-time championship medallist with Carrickshock. Walsh retired from inter-county hurling following the conclusion of the 1944 championship. The 1938 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 52nd staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament. The championship began on 1 May 1938 and ended on 4 September 1938. Tipperary were the defending champions but were disqualified from the championship after fielding an ineligible player in their Munster semi-final defeat of Clare. On 4 September 1938, Dublin won the championship following a 2-5 to 1-6 defeat of Waterford in the All-Ireland final. This was their sixth All-Ireland title, their first in eleven championship seasons. It remains their last All-Ireland triumph. Waterford's Locky Byrne was the championship's top scorer with 4-5. James Lanigan (20 April 1910 – 9 March 1992) was an Irish hurling, hurler.
