Michael Brown AKA Mick (born 1946 in Birmingham, England) is a British angler who co-hosts several fishing programs with Matt Hayes on Discovery Real Time (channel). He has starred in over 80 programs. He is best known for his love of targeting predator fish, especially pike. Brown has released many books on predator fishing and even has his own signature line of fishing rods. Matthew Hayes is a British angler who is featured in televised angling shows on Discovery Real Time. Television Hayes has appeared in several TV series alongside his fishing companion and fellow programme contributor Mick Brown. These include ''The Great Rod Race'', ''The Greater Rod Race'' and ''Wet Nets''. The first two are both about 30 day challenges from the west coast of Ireland, to the east coast of England. Hayes also starred in the TV series ''Mainstream'', in which he travelled down the UK's most famous rivers from 'source to sea', wetting a line or two along the way. Discovery Real Time was a British television channel owned by Discovery Networks UK focused on educational and learning content. History It was originally launched on 9 March 1992 as The Learning Channel, United Kingdom's version of the American television network of the same name as a daytime service from Intelsat, mostly aimed at cable systems, and was initially broadcast on the Discovery Channel's frequency. Acocks Green
Acocks Green is an area and ward of southeast Birmingham, England. It is named after the Acock family, who built a large house there in 1370. Acocks Green is one of four wards making up Yardley formal district. It is occasionally spelled "Acock's Green". It has frequently been noted on lists of unusual place names. Stockfield was once a separate village located in the north of the ward. It merged with Acocks after housing developments during the 20th century.
