Michigan Islamic Academy (MIA) is a Kindergarten through grade 12 Islamic private day school in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The school was opened in 1985. As of 2015 it had 213 students. 75 of them lived in Ann Arbor, 52 lived in Ypsilanti, 35 in Canton, 20 in the Dearborn area, four each in Jackson and Westland, three each in Dexter, Farmington, and South Lyon, two each in Plymouth and Superior Township (Washtenaw County), and one each in Brighton, Harper Woods, Northville, Saline, Southfield, and Whitmore.MIA Demographic Data

Whitmore, Michigan
Whitmore Lake is a census-designated place (CDP) and unincorporated community in the U.S. state of Michigan. The community spans the boundary between Green Oak Township in Livingston County and Northfield Township in Washtenaw County. The population of the CDP was 6,423 at the 2010 census. The community is located about north of Ann Arbor and about south of Brighton. It is situated around the shores of Whitmore Lake, and the CDP also includes the area around the smaller Horseshoe Lake to the south, Lawton Lake to the east and Monahan Lake to the northeast. Saline ( ') is a city in Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 8,948 at the 2020 census. The city borders Saline Township to the southwest, and the two are administered autonomously. History Before the 18th century, Native Americans traveled to what is now Saline to hunt wildlife and gather salt from the salt springs they found nearby. Northville is a city in Oakland and Wayne counties in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 6,119 at the 2020 census. Superior Charter Township is a charter township of Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 13,058 at the 2010 census.
