Montrose, Michigan
Montrose is a city in Genesee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,657 at the 2010 census. Once part of the surrounding Montrose Township, the city itself incorporated in 1980, and both are now administered autonomously. History Seymour W. Ensign, originally from New York then Saginaw, became the first white residents of present-day Montrose in 1842. The village of Montrose was incorporated from a portion of the Montrose Township in 1899. In 1980, the village became a city. On Monday November 27, 2017, the northern loop set of Genesee County municipalities, including Montrose, began receiving water from the Karegnondi Water Authority pipeline and treated by Genesee County Drain Commission Water and Waste Division. The Michigan Legislature is the legislature of the U.S. state of Michigan. It is organized as a bicameral body composed of an upper chamber, the Senate, and a lower chamber, the House of Representatives. Howell, Michigan
Howell is the largest city and county seat of Livingston County, Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 9,489. The city is mostly surrounded by Howell Township, but the two are administered autonomously. Howell is part of the South Lyon–Howell–Brighton Urban Area, which is an extension of the larger Detroit–Warren–Dearborn (Metro Detroit) Metropolitan Statistical Area. Bob Bezotte
Robert J. Bezotte (born October 15, 1950) is a Michigan politician. In the 2022 Michigan House of Representatives election, he was elected in District 50 due to redistricting. Early life and education Bezotte was born on October 15, 1950, in Detroit. Bezotte attended both Eastern Michigan University and the FBI National Academy. Career Bezotte is a United States Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. From 1987 to 1997, Bezotte worked a corporate security assignment for Domino's Pizza as security director. Bezotte's first job in law enforcement was as a corrections deputy. Bezotte later worked as both a road patrol deputy and a detective. Handy Township, Michigan
Handy Township is a civil township of Livingston County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 8,006 at the time of the 2010 census, up from 7,004 at the 2000 census. The village of Fowlerville is located within the township. Geography Handy Township is on the west side of Livingston County and is bordered to the west by Ingham County. Interstate 96 passes through the township, with access from Exit 129 (Grand Avenue), serving Fowlerville. I-96 leads west to Lansing and southeast to Detroit. Fowlerville, Michigan
Fowlerville is a village in Livingston County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is located in the northeast portion of Handy Township, but is politically independent from the township. The population was 2,886 at the time of the 2010 census. Fowlerville is home to several notable events such as Christmas in the 'Ville, Memorial Day observances, and a 4 July parade. History The first permanent settler was Ralph Fowler in 1836, who also instructed Amos Adams to plat the village in 1849. A post office named "Cedar" was established in 1838, but was renamed "Fowlerville" in 1853, after the village's plat name. The village incorporated in 1871.
