Bob Bezotte
Robert J. Bezotte (born October 15, 1950) is a Michigan politician. In the 2022 Michigan House of Representatives election, he was elected in District 50 due to redistricting. Early life and education Bezotte was born on October 15, 1950, in Detroit. Bezotte attended both Eastern Michigan University and the FBI National Academy. Career Bezotte is a United States Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. From 1987 to 1997, Bezotte worked a corporate security assignment for Domino's Pizza as security director. Bezotte's first job in law enforcement was as a corrections deputy. Bezotte later worked as both a road patrol deputy and a detective. Bezotte was working as undersheriff when, in 2005, he was elected as sheriff of Livingston County. Bezotte endorsed Mitt Romney in the 2008 presidential election. Michigan House Of Representatives
The Michigan House of Representatives is the lower house of the Michigan Legislature. There are 110 members, each of whom is elected from constituencies having approximately 77,000 to 91,000 residents, based on population figures from the 2010 U.S. Census. Its composition, powers and duties are established in Article IV of the Michigan Constitution. Members are elected in even-numbered years and take office at 12 p.m. (EST) on January 1 following the November general election. Concurrently with the Michigan Senate, the House first convenes on the second Wednesday in January, according to the state constitution. Each member is limited to serving three terms of two years. ''The Livingston County Daily Press & Argus'' is a daily newspaper published in Howell, Michigan and owned by Gannett. It covers news and sports within Livingston County and had offices in both Howell and Brighton. The Brighton office closed in December 2008. Its printing facility is located in Howell Township. It publishes every day, except Saturday. WHMI-FM (93.5 FM) is a radio station broadcasting from the Howell, Michigan area. The station broadcasts a Classic Hits format with local news, sports, traffic and weather and bills itself as Livingston County's Own. It also airs hourly news updates from ABC News Radio. WHMI is owned by Rodney Krol through licensee Krol Communications Inc. History WHMI began as an AM radio station at 1350 kHz in 1957. The call letters could be said to stand for both "Howell, Michigan" and "Heart of Michigan", a reference to an ad campaign of the late 1950s which promoted Livingston County as a good place to live.
