Wyoming Senate
The Wyoming Senate is the upper house of the Wyoming State Legislature. There are 30 Senators in the Senate, representing an equal number of constituencies across Wyoming, each with a population of at least 17,000. The Senate meets at the Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne. Members of the Senate serve four year terms without term limits. Term limits were declared unconstitutional by the Wyoming Supreme Court in 2004, overturning a decade-old law that had restricted Senators to three terms (twelve years). Drew Perkins
Drew A. Perkins (born March 21, 1956) is an American politician serving in the Wyoming Senate from the 29th district as a member of the Republican Party. He served as President of the Senate from 2019 to 2021. Perkins was born in Boise, Idaho, and educated at Brigham Young University, Southeastern University, and the University of Wyoming. He entered politics in the 2000s with unsuccessful campaigns for a seat on the Natrona County Commission, but was appointed to the commission in 2003. Gillette (, '' jih-LET'') is a city in and the county seat of Campbell County, Wyoming, United States. The town was founded in 1891 as a major railway town on the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad. The population was estimated at 32,030 as of July 1, 2019.
