Michael Le Vell
Michael Robert Turner (born 15 December 1964), known professionally as Michael Le Vell, is an English actor. He is best known for his role as mechanic Kevin Webster in the long-running ITV (TV channel), ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'', a role he has played since 1983. Early life Le Vell was born in Newton Heath, Manchester. When he was fifteen, his mother died from a brain tumour, and when he was 22, his father died of lung cancer. He has a brother, Phil and two sisters. Career Le Vell began his acting career in the Oldham Theatre Workshop after taking an interest in amateur dramatics while at school. He had a guest role as paperboy Neil Grimshaw in ''Coronation Street''. Michael Turner (Australian Rules Footballer)
Michael Turner (born 6 December 1954) is a former Australian rules footballer who played 245 games for the Geelong Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL) from 1974 to 1988. Michael "Micky" Turner grew up in Warrnambool and did his final years of high school at Monivae College in Hamilton. He followed in the footsteps of his father Leo Turner (1928-1997) in representing Geelong and played as a wingman and half forward. He was an All-Australian in 1979 and captained the club for three seasons between 1984 and 1986. In 1982 he was Geelong's leading goalkicker with 40 goals. In 1989, Turner signed on as captain-coach of Werribee in the Victorian Football Association. In 1995 he was appointed by AFL Victoria to be the regional manager for the Geelong Falcons, responsible for the development of junior talent in the area. Michael John Turner CBE (born 5 August 1948) is the former chief executive officer (CEO) of the aerospace and defence company BAE Systems, and current chairman of Babcock International and prior to the hostile takeover by Melrose was chairman of GKN plc. Early life He attended Didsbury Technical High School (became Wilbraham High School in 1965) on School Lane in Didsbury. He gained a BA from Manchester Polytechnic in 1970, whilst working for Hawker Siddeley Aviation which he joined in 1966. Career Turner replaced the previous CEO at BAE Systems plc, John Weston, in March 2002 who was dismissed. Sir Michael William Turner (1905 - 27 September 1980) was a banker for Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank and commandant of the auxiliary police in Hong Kong. Early life Turner was born in Winchester, England, in 1905. He was the son of Skinner Turner, at that time Judge of the British Court for Siam in Bangkok and later Chief Judge of the British Supreme Court for China based in Shanghai. Education Turner studied at Marlborough College and then University College, Oxford and obtained a degree in military history. He played field hockey with the English national field hockey team. Turner (16 June 1948 – December 2020) was an English competitive swimmer who represented Great Britain at the Olympics and World University Games, and England in the Commonwealth Games, during the 1960s. Michael George Elliott Turner (born 20 September 1938) is an English former professional football goalkeeper. Football career He was capped by England at youth level, but due to service in the RAF had to wait until December 1961 to turn professional when he joined Swindon Town from non-league Dorchester Town. He played 75 league games for Swindon and was part of Swindon's first ever promotion winning team in the 1962–63 season, before joining Torquay United in July 1964. He played 14 league games for Torquay over the next 2 seasons, before leaving the professional game. Michael Thomas Turner (born 9 November 1983) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender. Club career Charlton Athletic Born in Lewisham, London, Turner started his career at Charlton Athletic. As part of a link-up Charlton had with Internazionale, he spent several months of his apprenticeship with the Italian club's under-19 team. After signing professional terms with Charlton, he went out on loan to Leyton Orient in March 2003 until the end of the 2002–03 season. Francis Michael Turner Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, MBE (8 August 1934 – 21 July 2015) was an English cricketer active from 1954 to 1959 who played for Leicestershire County Cricket Club, Leicestershire. He appeared in ten first-class cricket, first-class matches as a right-handed batting (cricket), batsman who bowling (cricket), bowled spin bowling, leg break and googly. He scored 196 run (cricket), runs with a highest score of 28not out, * and took three wickets with a best performance of three for 56.
