Michael Scarola
Michael "Mike" Scarola (born January 26, 1976 in Halifax, Nova Scotia) is a Canadian sprint canoer and marathon canoeist who competed in the early 2000s. He won a bronze medal in the C-2 1000 m event at the 2002 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Seville, Spain and also won a silver medal in C-2 (canoe doubles) at the ICF World Marathon Canoe Kayak Championships in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia in 2000. The ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships are an international event in canoe racing, one of two Summer Olympic sport events organized by the International Canoe Federation (the other being the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships). These are the results of the men's C-2 1000 metres competition in canoeing at the 2004 Summer Olympics. The C-2 event is raced by two-man sprint canoes. Medalists Heats The 14 teams first raced in two heats. The top three finishers from each of the heats advanced directly to the final, and the remaining 8 teams moved on to the semifinal.
