Michael Rubens
Michael Rubens (also sometimes known as Mike Rubens) is an American comedian and author. In February 2016, Rubens began working as a correspondent and field producer for ''Full Frontal with Samantha Bee''. He was formerly a field producer for ''The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'' and ''Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Last Week Tonight.'' He has written four novels: ''ThSheriff of Yrnameer' (2009), Sons of the 613' (2012), The Bad Decisions Playlist' (2016), and Emily and the Spellstone' (2017). ''Full Frontal with Samantha Bee'' is an American late-night talk and news satire television program that aired on TBS from 2016 to 2022. The show was hosted by comedian Samantha Bee, a former correspondent on ''The Daily Show''. In July 2022 the show was cancelled, following the Warner Bros. Discovery merger. Production Samantha Bee served as a correspondent on ''The Daily Show'' for 12 years, becoming its longest tenured correspondent. The half-hour-long show premiered in April 2014 on HBO. ''Last Week Tonight'' shares some similarities with Comedy Central's ''The Daily Show'' (where Oliver was previously featured as a correspondent and fill-in host), as the show takes a satirical look at news, politics and current events, but on a weekly basis and primarily from a liberal bent.
