Michael Premo
Michael Premo is an artist who lives in Brooklyn. He played a significant role in Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Sandy's hurricane response effort. Work On October 30, 2012, one day after Hurricane Sandy Effects of Hurricane Sandy in New York, hit the New York region, Premo and three friends drove to the Red Hook, Brooklyn, Red Hook Initiative and subsequently created Occupy Sandy after posting a note on Inner Occupy. Sandy Storyline, a participatory documentary co-directed by Premo, grew out of the Occupy Sandy relief effort to collect and share stories about the impact of Hurricane Sandy on neighborhoods, communities and lives. New York was severely affected by Hurricane Sandy on October 29–30, 2012, particularly New York City, its suburbs, and Long Island. Sandy's impacts included the flooding of the New York City Subway system, of many suburban communities, and of all road tunnels entering Manhattan except the Lincoln Tunnel. Red Hook is a neighborhood in northwestern Brooklyn, New York City, New York, within the area once known as South Brooklyn.
