Michael Levy, Baron Levy
Michael Abraham Levy, Baron Levy, (born 11 July 1944) is a Labour Party peer. He is a former chartered accountant and was chairman and CEO of a large independent group of music companies. He now acts as a consultant for a number of companies and is also chairman of a finance company. Levy is also the president of Sense and Sense International, Jewish Care, Barnet and Southgate Colleges, Jewish Free School (JFS), Jewish Lads' and Girls' Brigade (JLGB), Etz Chaim Jewish Primary School, and Mathilda Marks-Kennedy Jewish Primary School (MMK). He was previously president of the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust and president of Volunteering Matters. Levy was the chief fundraiser for the Labour Party. Mickey Levy
Mickey Levy ( he, מִיקִי לֵוִי, born 21 June 1951) is an Israeli politician who currently serves as a member of the Knesset for Yesh Atid and is a former Speaker of the Knesset. He served as Deputy Minister of Finance between 2013 and 2014. Before entering politics, he was a police officer. Biography Levy was born in Jerusalem to immigrant parents who were Sephardic and Kurdish Jewish origin from Cizre, Turkey. He did his military service in the Israel Defense Forces in the Paratroopers Brigade. After being discharged from the military, he joined the Israel Police and held a series of command positions. He served as head of Jerusalem branch of the Israel Police between 2000 and 2004, winning the Knight of Good Government award in 2002. Michael George Levy
Michael George Levy (1925 – 4 June 2007) was a British and Canadian military officer. Levy was born in Bombay (now Mumbai, India) as the oldest of four siblings and raised in Shanghai, where he attended the Shanghai Public School for Boys. During the Second World War he was arrested by the Japanese and sent first to Pootung Internment Camp, and subsequently transferred to the Lunghua Civil Assembly Centre. He escaped from Lunghua with four other internees who made their way on foot and by junk to India. Once in India, he was recruited by the Special Operations Executive of the British Army, which offered him training in guerrilla warfare and espionage. They made him second in command of a Force 136 patrol liaison team with the wartime rank of captain. The team was dropped in the jungles of Malaya in July 1945. Michael Levey
Sir Michael Vincent Levey, LVO, FBA, FRSL (8 June 1927 – 28 December 2008) was a British art historian and was the director of the National Gallery from 1973 to 1986. Biography Levey was born in Wimbledon, London, and grew up in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. He attended The Oratory School, a Catholic boarding school near Reading. He was called up for National Service in 1945 and served it largely in Egypt. After demobilisation in 1948 Levey went to Exeter College, Oxford to read English; he graduated with first class honours after only two years' study. In 1951 Levey joined the National Gallery as assistant to the Keeper, Sir Martin Davies. He combined administrative duties with scholarly work, producing his first catalogue, on the Gallery's 18th-century Italian paintings, in 1956.
