Michael Hametner (born 1950 at Rostock) is a German–Austrian journalist, editor, writer and literary and theater critic Life Hametner, son of an Austrian citizen, studied journalism and literary studies at the University of Leipzig. Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR; ''Central German Broadcasting'') is the public broadcaster for the federal states of Thuringia, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt in Germany. Fritz Hennenberg
Fritz Hennenberg (born 11 June 1932) is a German musicologist and dramaturg. Life Hennenberg was born in Döbeln in 1932 as the son of the architect and master builder Kurt Hennenberg and his wife Johanna. After Abitur in 1951 at the Döbelner Realgymnasium (Lessing secondary school) he studied piano and conducting with Oskar Halfter and Martin Flämig as well as musicology with Walter Serauky and Hellmuth Christian Wolff at the Leipzig University. Fred Delmare
Werner Vorndran (24 April 1922 – 1 May 2009), known professionally as Fred Delmare, was a German actor. Life and work Werner Vorndran was the son of a carpenter and a seamstress and grew up in Hüttensteinach at Sonneberg in Thuringia, where as an adolescent he appeared on a peasant stage. After his time in the Volksschule he learned the trade of a tool and die maker. As military volunteer he went to the marine in Bremerhaven. At the local municipal theatre he took his first drama lessons with the theatre manager Karl Georg Saebisch 1940 and 1941 and worked as background actor in an operette production. ''Neues Deutschland'' (''nd''; en, New Germany, sometimes stylized in lowercase letters) is a left-wing German daily newspaper, headquartered in Berlin. Peter Gosse
Peter Gosse (born 6 October 1938 in Leipzig) is a German poet, prose author and essayist. Life Peter Gosse first completed a study of high frequency technology in Moscow. After an occupation as an engineer, he worked as a freelance writer in East Germany from 1968. Since 1985 he has been a lecturer of poetry at the German Institute for Literature in Leipzig, where he became the commissioned Director in 1993. Afterwards, he became a guest Professor in the USA. Johannes Heisig (born 23 April 1953 in Leipzig, East Germany) is a German painter and graphic artist. His work combines the tradition of German socialist realism with a subjective expressionism. Bernhard Heisig
Bernhard Heisig (31 March 1925 – 10 June 2011) was a German painter and graphic artist. Long-time director of the Leipzig Academy (Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst; 1961–64, 1976–87) and a leading figure in East Germany's Leipzig School, which included Wolfgang Mattheuer and Werner Tübke, he painted in the tradition of Max Beckmann, Otto Dix, and Oskar Kokoschka. His experiences from World War II on both the western and eastern fronts were a recurring subject in his art beginning in the late 1960s, and it is for these works that he is best known in the West. MDR-Literaturpreis
MDR-Literaturpreis was a German literary prize. The prize was awarded by the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk from 1996 to 2015. The main prize was endowed with 5,000 euros, the second with 2,500 euros and the third with 1,500 euros (donated by Druckhaus Köthen), as well an audience award was endowed with 1000 euros.
