Michael Gordon (born Irving Kunin Gordon; September 6, 1909 – April 29, 1993) was an American stage actor and stage and film director. Life and career Gordon was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Jewish parents: Paul Luis Gordon (1876-1957), who was born in Lithuania, and Eva "Rachel" Kuhen (1885-1940), who was born in Russia. Michael was the second of three boys born to the Gordon family; first born was Bertram Ira Gordon (1914-1985), who was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, and the third born was Leo Allenby Gordon (1919-2005). Michael Gordon was a member of the Group Theatre (New York), Group Theatre (1935–1940), and was blacklisted as a Communism, Communist in the Joseph McCarthy, McCarthy McCarthyism, era. He later joined the faculty of the UCLA Theater Department. Gordon summered at Pine Brook Country Club in Nichols, Connecticut. Michael Gordon (14 August 1955 – 3 February 2018) was an Australian journalist. Gordon was the son of the newspaper journalist and editor Harry Gordon. Early life and education Born in 1955 in Melbourne, Australia, he completed his part-time studies in degree in Commerce at Melbourne University. Career Gordon joined ''The Age'' in 1973 at the age of 17 as a cadet journalist and spent most of his career with the newspaper in Melbourne, reporting on areas such as politics, police, industrial relations and sport. He retired from ''The Age'' in June 2017 at the rank of national political editor, the position he held since 2013, after working for the newspaper for 37 years. Gordon also worked for a time as a New York correspondent for '' The Herald'' in the late 1980s and later as national political editor for ''The Australian'' from 1994 to 1998. Mike Gordon (November 15, 1957 – June 25, 2005) was an American politician who served as a member of the California State Assembly. After his swearing in in December 2004, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor in March and died in June 2005. Prior to his time in the Assembly, he served as the mayor of El Segundo, CA El Segundo ( , ; ) is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. Michael Alexander Gordon (born 10 November 1984) is an English footballer who most recently played for Walton & Hersham. Career Gordon was born in Tooting. Beginning as an apprentice at Arsenal, Gordon signed for Wimbledon in 2002 and made a total of 19 league appearances. Gordon also played league football with Swindon Town in 2004, but never made a league appearance. Gordon later played non-league football for a number of clubs including Havant & Waterlooville, Aldershot Town, Crawley Town, Sutton United, AFC Wimbledon, Harrow Borough, Hemel Hempstead Town and Northwood. Gordon later played non-league football with Croydon Athletic and Merstham, before signing for Lincoln City on 11 November 2009. He was released by Lincoln City in April 2010. Michael Gordon (born 24 October 1983) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s and 2010s, he played in the National Rugby League (NRL). Gordon was a New South Wales, Origin and Country representative. He played at and and was a noted goal-kicker. He previously played in the NRL for the Penrith Panthers between 2006 and 2012, the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks between 2013 and 2015, the Parramatta Eels in 2016 and the Sydney Roosters in 2017, then the Gold Coast Titans from 2018 to 2019 where he saw out his career.
