Michael E. Knight
Michael Edward Knight (born May 7, 1959) is an American actor, best known for his role as Tad Martin on ABC soap opera '' All My Children''. Biography Knight was born in Princeton, New Jersey. He was educated at The Thacher School in Ojai, California, and attended Wesleyan University, graduating in 1980, a year ahead of schedule. Knight's first major acting role was portraying Tad Martin on the soap opera ''All My Children''. His first stint on the show ran from 1982–1986. He returned from 1988–1990, and again from 1992 until the ABC series finale in 2011 and the online revival of the series in 2013. Knight also appeared as Ted Orsini on ''AMC'' from 1993–1994. His reason for initially leaving ''All My Children'' was to pursue acting projects on the West Coast, which included a starring role in the feature film ''Date with an Angel'' (1987), and various primetime appearances — including '' Murder, She Wrote'', '' Dear John'' and ''Grapevine''. ''Hexed'' is a 1993 American black comedy film starring Arye Gross, Claudia Christian, Adrienne Shelly, and R. Lee Ermey, and written and directed by Alan Spencer, best known as the creator of the satirical TV series ''Sledge Hammer!'' The film centers on a nebbish hotel clerk who is also a pathological liar that falls in love with a supermodel, unaware that she is a psychotic murderess and escaped mental patient. The movie was filmed in Dallas and Fort Worth and was a negative pickup. Director and writer Alan Spencer expressed disappointment he was not given full creative control and was forced to film the movie on a tight schedule when the studio substantially slashed the budget mere weeks before filming began and removed fifteen days from the shooting schedule.
