Michael Knight (Knight Rider)
Michael Knight is a fictional character and the protagonist of the 1980s television series ''Knight Rider'', played by David Hasselhoff. The character first appeared in the opening scenes as Michael Long, played by Larry Anderson in the beginning of the pilot. Biography ''Knight Rider'' Michael Arthur Long was born on January 9, 1949, outside Los Angeles, California, raised by a blue-collar working family. In the 1960s, Michael joined the Army, spending three years in counter-intelligence work in Vietnam. He was captured while on a mission. Michael escaped, but suffered a serious injury that required brain surgery, and a metal plate was inserted into his skull. Knight Of The Phoenix
"Knight of the Phoenix" is the syndication title to the two-hour long pilot (originally aired on NBC as just "Knight Rider") to the popular 1980s television show ''Knight Rider'', which starred David Hasselhoff, Edward Mulhare, Richard Basehart, and William Daniels (who was uncredited as the voice of KITT). It first aired September 26, 1982, and was written by Glen A. Larson and directed by Daniel Haller. The pilot was rebroadcast as a two-part episode during further broadcast syndication. The only regular cast member that didn't appear in the pilot is Patricia McPherson. Edward Mulhare
Edward Mulhare (8 April 1923 – 24 May 1997) was an Irish actor whose career spanned five decades. He is best known for his starring roles in two television series: '' The Ghost & Mrs. Muir'' and ''Knight Rider''. Early life and career Mulhare, one of three brothers, was born at 22 Quaker Road, Cork City, County Cork, Ireland, to John and Catherine (née Keane) Mulhare. As a child, he received his education at St. Nessan's Christian Brothers School, and later North Monastery. Mulhare, as a young adult, began schooling at the National University of Ireland in medicine, but eventually decided upon a career in theatre. KITT or K.I.T.T. is the short name of two fictional characters from the adventure franchise ''Knight Rider''. Richard Basehart
John Richard Basehart (August 31, 1914 – September 17, 1984) was an American actor. He starred as Admiral Harriman Nelson in the television science-fiction drama ''Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea'' (1964–68). He also portrayed Wilton Knight in the pilot episode of the TV series ''Knight Rider'' (1982), and provided the narration that was heard during the opening credits throughout the entire series. Basehart was equally active in cinema, receiving National Board of Review Awards for his performances in ''Fourteen Hours'' (1951) and ''Moby Dick'' (1956).
