Michael Clark II
Michael Clark II (born May 4, 1969) is an American professional golfer. Clark was born in Kingsport, Tennessee. He attended Georgia Tech and turned professional in 1992. He won two events on the PGA Tour's official developmental tour in the 1990s, but it took him some years to win a place on the PGA Tour itself. His 2000 rookie PGA Tour season was a great success, with victory in the John Deere Classic and the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year award, but he struggled to build on this, and by 2005 he was back on the Nationwide Tour. Clark last played in a PGA Tour-sanctioned event in 2012. Kingsport, Tennessee
Kingsport is a city in Sullivan and Hawkins counties in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2020 census, its population was 55,442. Lying along the Holston River, Kingsport is commonly included in what is known as the Mountain Empire, which spans a portion of southwest Virginia and the mountainous counties in northeastern Tennessee. It is the largest city in the Kingsport–Bristol metropolitan area, which had a population of 307,614 in 2020. The Open Championship
The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Founded in 1860, it was originally held annually at Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland. Later the venue rotated between a select group of coastal links golf courses in the United Kingdom. The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week of April, the Masters is the first major of the year, and unlike the others, it is always held at the same location, Augusta National Golf Club, a private course in the city of Augusta, Georgia, in the southeastern United States. Steve Jurgensen (born October 27, 1961) is an American professional golfer. Jurgensen was born in San Jose, California. He played college golf one year at the University of Houston. He turned professional in 1985. Jurgensen played on the Nationwide Tour from 1993 to 1995 and in 1997. He won the 1993 Nike Tri-Cities Open. He played on the PGA Tour in 1996, 1998, and 1999.
