Michael Audreson
Michael Audreson (born 1 August 1956) is a British actor who appeared in films and television shows in the 1960s. He was in the 12-episode Children's Film Foundation series '' The Magnificent Six and a Half'' before playing the bespectacled "Brains" in '' Here Come the Double Deckers'' (1970–71). In the film ''Young Winston'' (1971) he played Winston Churchill as a schoolboy. As the 1970s progressed, Audreson had a role in two episodes of ''The Tomorrow People'' (1978) television series. Audreson wrote and directed two short films: ''The Man Who Could Read Minds'' (1999) and ''Eve Buckingham'' (2001) starring Susan Hampshire. Children's Film Foundation
The Children's Film Foundation (CFF) was a non-profit organisation which made films for children in the United Kingdom originally to be shown as part of childrens' Saturday morning matinée cinema programming. The films typically were about 55 minutes long. History The Foundation was formed in 1951 following the Wheare report that criticised the suitability of American programming for Saturday morning pictures. Mary Field was appointed chief executive. The Foundation was initially funded by the Eady Levy (a tax on box office receipts), receiving 5% of the Levy and the initial budget was £60,000 per year. The Foundation made around six films a year; most lasted less than an hour and were shot in less than two weeks. The Magnificent Six And A Half (serial)
''The Magnificent Six and 1/2'' was a British comedy film series for the Children's Film Foundation. Based on Hal Roach's popular Our Gang series of shorts, "Six and 1/2" followed a group of seven children on their fun misadventures. Created by Harry Booth and Roy Simpson, the series ran in cinemas from 1968 to 1972, with three series and eighteen half-hour episodes in all. Following the first two series, Booth and Simpson decided to bring their children's series to television, eventually creating a very similar series called ''Here Come the Double Deckers!''. The final "Six and 1/2" series was produced by a different company and featured an entirely new group of children in the cast. ''Young Winston'' is a 1972 British biographical adventure drama war film covering the early years of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, based in particular on his 1930 book, '' My Early Life''. The first part of the film covers Churchill's unhappy schooldays, up to the death of his father. The second half covers his service as a cavalry officer in India and the Sudan, during which he takes part in the cavalry charge at Omdurman, his experiences as a war correspondent in the Second Boer War, during which he is captured and escapes, and his election to Parliament at the age of 26. The Tomorrow People
''The Tomorrow People'' is a British children's science fiction television series created by Roger Price. Produced by Thames Television for the ITV Network, the series first ran from 30 April 1973 to 19 February 1979. The theme music was composed by Australian music composer, Dudley Simpson, who composed music for two BBC science fiction dramas, ''Doctor Who'' (1963) and ''Blake’s 7'' (1978). In 1992, after having much success with replays of the original series in America, Nickelodeon requested Price and Thames Television for a new version to be piloted and filmed at Nickelodeon Studios Florida in April 1992, with Price acting as executive producer. Susan Hampshire, Lady Kulukundis, (born 12 May 1937) is an English actress known for her many television and film roles. Judi Bowker (born 6 April 1954) is an English film and television actress. Biography Bowker was born in Shawford, Hampshire, England, the daughter of Alfred J. Bowker and Ann Fairweather, who had married in 1947. The family moved to the British colony of Northern Rhodesia when Bowker was two, and lived there for eight years. She had many interests, including painting and riding. However, she was most interested in acting, and began to pursue her acting career after the family returned to England. John Hasler
John Hasler (born 21 April 1974) is an English actor. He is best known as T-Shirt in the children's television series ''T-Bag'' from 1985 to 1992, and for voicing Thomas the Tank Engine in the UK dub of the children's television series ''Thomas & Friends'' from 2015 to 2021. Hasler was the only cast member on T-Bag to remain with the show for its entire television run, starting as a young boy and leaving as a teenager. Career John began his career in the mid-1980s. He played T-Shirt, a prominent character in the T-Bag TV series, between 1985–1992, being the only character to star in all nine series and in all four Christmas specials.
