''Mic Tyson'' is the third solo studio album by American rapper Sean Price. It was released on October 30, 2012, through Duck Down Records. Production was handled by Alchemist, Beat Butcha, Eric G, Evidence, 9th Wonder, AMP, Khrysis and Wool. It features guest appearances from Buckshot, Ill Bill, Pharoahe Monch, Pumpkinhead, Realm Reality, Ruste Juxx, Torae, Ike Eyes and Freddie Gibbs. The album sold 7,000 copies in its first week and debuted at number 59 on the ''Billboard'' 200. "STFU, Part 2" was released as a promotional single with animated music video directed by the Chain Gang. It was the last album to be released in Price's lifetime before his death on August 8, 2015. Background Sean Price announced the album to the public in mid-2009 by releasing a mixtape titled ''Kimbo Price: A Prelude to Mic Tyson'', which contains 23 tracks. Sean Duval Price (March 17, 1972August 8, 2015) was an American rapper and member of the hip hop collective Boot Camp Clik. He was one half of the duo Heltah Skeltah, performing under the name Ruck, along with partner Rock. Early life and education Growing up in the borough of Brooklyn, Price was a member of the Decepticons in high school. Career A member of the underground hip hop collective Boot Camp Clik, Price first appeared on Smif-N-Wessun's 1995 album ''Dah Shinin'''. Troy Donald Jamerson (born October 31, 1972), better known by his stage name Pharoahe Monch, is an American rapper from South Jamaica, Queens, New York. Charles Stewart (born June 26, 1971), better known as Chali 2na, is an American painter and rapper, associated with the groups Jurassic 5 and Ozomatli. Fredrick Jamel Tipton (born June 14, 1982), better known by his stage name Freddie Gibbs, is an American rapper from Gary, Indiana. After initially being signed to Interscope Records in 2006, Gibbs recorded his debut studio album under the label. However, he was eventually dropped and the album was cancelled.
