Mes Rafsanjan
Mes Rafsanjan Football Club is an Iranian football club based in Rafsanjan, Iran. The club is owned by the National Mes Company the nationalised Iranian copper industry after which the club is named (Persian: اصف romanized: mes). History In 1995 the national Iranian copper industry decided to form a football club in one of its focus cities, Rafsanjan. It would go on to form another football team in Kerman a year later, also named after the national copper industry. Mes Rafsanjan knocked out a number of Persian Gulf Pro League clubs in the Hazfi Cup of 2008–09, including Foolad and Esteghlal. The club was later defeated by the eventual champions Zob Ahan in the semi-finals. In 2020 Mes Refanjan were promoted to the Persian Gulf Pro League, where they have enjoyed moderate success. Rafsanjan
Rafsanjan ( fa, رفسنجان, also Romanization, Romanized as Rafsanjān and Rafsinjān; also known as Bahrāmābād) is a city and capital of Rafsanjan County, Kerman Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 136,388, in 33,489 families. Rafsanjan is the biggest producer of pistachios in the world. Also one of the biggest copper mines in the world is located there too. In addition the biggest and oldest house of the world is located there. Many famous people were born in Rafsanjan: Mirza Reza Kermani, Ali Akbar Hashemi, Adel Ferdosipour etc. It is Iran's center of pistachio cultivation. It had an estimated population of 134,848 in 2005. Rafsanjan is also a major center of carpet production even though the rugs are sold as Kermani rugs rather than Rafsanjani ones. Azadegan League
The Azadegan League ( fa, ليگ آزادگان, ''Lig-e Âzâdegân''), also known as League 1 ( fa, لیگ یک, ''Lig-e Yek''), is the second highest division of professional football in Iran. It was the top-level football league in Iran from its foundation in 1991 until 2001, when the Persian Gulf Pro League was established. Each year, the top finishing teams in the Azadegan League are promoted to the Persian Gulf Pro League, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to League 2. Since 2016, the league comprises 18 teams. The winner and the runner-up of the Azadegan League are automatically promoted to the Persian Gulf Pro League. The bottom three teams in the league are relegated to League 2. In the past, the format and number of teams were changed for various times. Persepolis is the most successful club with four titles. The 2020–21 Persian Gulf Pro League (formerly known as Iran Pro League) were the 38th season of Iran's Football League and 20th as Persian Gulf Pro League since its establishment in 2001. Persepolis were the defending champions. The 2018–19 Azadegan League was the 28th season of the Azadegan League and 18th as the second highest division since its establishment in 1991. The season featured 12 teams from the 2017–18 Azadegan League, two new teams relegated from the 2017–18 Persian Gulf Pro League: Siah Jamegan and Naft Tehran and two new teams promoted from the 2017–18 League 2: Karoon Arvand Khorramshahr and Shahin Bushehr both as champions. Navad Urmia replaced Gostaresh Foulad, while Sorkhpooshan Pakdasht replaced Esteghlal Jonoub. Oxin Alborz changed their name into Gol Reyhan.
