2014–15 Azadegan League
The 2014–15 Azadegan League was the 24th season of the Azadegan League and 14th as the second highest division since its establishment in 1991. The season featured 16 teams from the 2013–14 Azadegan League, three new teams relegated from the 2013–14 Persian Gulf Cup: Fajr Sepasi, Damash and Mes Kerman and four new teams promoted from the 2013–14 2nd Division: Shahrdari Ardabil and Etka Gorgan both as champions and Foolad Novin and Shahrdari Tabriz. Tarbiat Yazd replaced Yazd Louleh. The league started on 4 October 2014 and ended on 22 April 2015. Foolad Novin won the Azadegan League title for the first time in their history. Siah Jamegan and Esteghlal Ahvaz promoted to the Persian Gulf Pro League. Azadegan League
The Azadegan League ( fa, ليگ آزادگان, ''Lig-e Âzâdegân''), also known as League 1 ( fa, لیگ یک, ''Lig-e Yek''), is the second highest division of professional football in Iran. It was the top-level football league in Iran from its foundation in 1991 until 2001, when the Persian Gulf Pro League was established. Each year, the top finishing teams in the Azadegan League are promoted to the Persian Gulf Pro League, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to League 2 (Iran), League 2. Since 2016, the league comprises 18 teams. The winner and the runner-up of the Azadegan League are automatically promoted to the Persian Gulf Pro League. The bottom three teams in the league are relegated to League 2. In the past, the format and number of teams were changed for various times. Sport Club Damash Gilan ( fa, باشگاه ورزشی داماش گیلان, ''Bashgah-e Vârzeshi-ye Damash Gilân''), commonly known as Damash Gilan, also spelled Damash Guilan, is an Iranian football club based in Rasht, Gilan, that competes in the Azadegan League. Yazd ( fa, یزد ), formerly also known as Yezd, is the capital of Yazd Province, Iran. The city is located southeast of Isfahan. At the 2016 census, the population was 1,138,533. 2013–14 Iran 2nd Division
The article contains the information of 2013–14 2nd Division football season. This is the 3rd rated football competition in Iran after the Azadegan League and Persian Gulf Cup. The league is composed of 28 teams divided into two divisions of 14 teams each, whose teams will be divided geographically. Teams will play only other teams in their own division, once at home and once away for a total of 26 matches each. In each division, two teams are promoted to Azadegan League, and three teams are relegated to Iran Football's 3rd Division plus the relegation playoff loser. In total, the league promotes 4 teams to Azadegan League and relegates 7 teams to 3rd Division. The league starts in September 2013. 2013–14 Persian Gulf Cup
The 2013–14 Persian Gulf Cup (also known as Iran Pro League) was the 31st season of Iran's Football League and 13th as Iran Pro League since its establishment in 2001. Esteghlal were the defending champions. The season featured 14 teams from the 2012–13 Persian Gulf Cup and two new teams promoted from the 2012–13 Azadegan League: Esteghlal Khuzestan and Gostaresh both as champions. The league started on 24 July 2013 and ended on 11 April 2014. Foolad won the Pro League title for the second time in their history (total second Iranian title).
