Merihun Crespi (born 15 December 1988) is a born Ethiopian male Italian long-distance runner who won three times his country's senior national championship and an individual bronze medal at the European Athletics U20 Championships. Biography Born in Blaten, Ethiopia, adopted when he was 3 by Italian family. In 2009 he was '' azzurro'' at the Decanation in Paris (7th) and since 2010 he is part of the team trained by Giorgio Rondelli at the XXV Aprile field in Milan. He graduated from the ''Liceo Scientifico-Tecnologico'', he loves music and reading: among all the champions he chooses Paul Tergat. Giorgio Rondelli (born 11 February 1946) is an Italian athletics coach, best known for being the personal coach of Olympic and world champion Alberto Cova. Biography After a brief career as an athlete with decent results in the middle distance, so much to dress for four times the jersey of the junior national team, Giorgio Rondelli, in the second half of the 1970s, became a coach for the same sector of one of the oldest Italian sports clubs, the Pro Patria Milano (today CUS Pro Patria Milan, after the merger with CUS Milano), a role that he still holds. 2007 IAAF World Cross Country Championships
The 2007 IAAF World Cross Country Championships took place on March 24, 2007. The races were held at the Mombasa Golf Course in Mombasa, Kenya. Four races took place, one for men, women, junior men and junior women respectively. All races encompassed both individual and team competition. The short race for men and women that was run between 1998 and 2006 was scrapped and the World Cross Country Championships went back to one-day format. Reports of the event were given in the Herald, and for the IAAF. Preparations When Athletics Kenya (AK, the national governing body of Athletics) applied for the event, it used the slogan "Cross Country Comes Home", referring to Kenyan and East African traditional dominance at the event. Paul Tergat
Paul Kibii Tergat (born 17 June 1969) is a Kenyan former professional long distance runner. He became the first Kenyan man to set the world record in the marathon in 2003, with a time of 2:04:55, and is regarded as one of the most accomplished long-distance runners of all time. Runnerworld called him the "Most comprehensive runner of all time". Towards the end of his career he concentrated exclusively on the marathon. Tergat set several world records and won many titles on the track, in cross country, and on the road. He lives and trains in Eldoret. Early life Paul Tergat was born on 17 June 1969 in Riwo, Baringo District, in Kenya's Rift Valley Province. He attended Riwo Primary school and later joined Kapkawa Boys High School. Unlike many athletes, Tergat realised his talent after graduating high school. Career Tergat won five straight IAAF World Cross Country Championships titles, 1995 to 1999, which was a record.
