''Mercury4'' is the debut, and only, album by boy band, Mercury4, which was released on 31 May 2004 and peaked at No. 32 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Making of the album and chart success BMG recruited hit production team the Matrix who had produced hits for Avril Lavigne and Hilary Duff to write and produce Mercury4's first single " Get Me Some". Released in June 2003 in Australia, it rose to the top five of the ARIA Singles Chart in the following month. Their second single " 5 Years From Now" was released in January 2004 and reached the top 20 of the Australian charts in February 2004. The band's third single "Every Little Step", is a cover version of the Bobby Brown hit from his album ''Don't Be Cruel''. This track was produced by Cutfather & Joe who wrote and produced the Jamelia hit, "Superstar". The band's self-titled debut, ''Mercury4'', was released on 31 May 2004. Mercury4 were an Australian boy band vocal quartet formed in 2002 with Rien Low, Brad Johnston, Javier Perez and Cole Rintoul. In early 2004 Perez was replaced by Kevin Layton. They issued a self-titled studio album, '' Mercury4'' (May 2004) which reached the ARIA Albums Chart top 40. Their highest-charting single, " Get Me Some" (June 2003) had peaked at No. 5 on the related ARIA Singles Chart. It was followed by " 5 Years from Now" (January 2004), which reached the top 20 and their cover version of Bobby Brown's "Every Little Step" (May 2004) peaked in the top 30. Don't Be Cruel (album)
''Don't Be Cruel'' is the second studio album by American singer Bobby Brown. It was released in the United States on June 20, 1988 by MCA Records. MCA changed producers for this album and had Brown work with hit-making songwriting and production duo Babyface and L.A. Reid. Brown dedicated the album to his deceased best friend James "Jimbo" Flint who was stabbed to death when Brown was aged 11. ''Don't Be Cruel'' incorporates new jack swing, R&B, funk, dance and soul. Graham Cyril Russell (born 11 June 1950) is an English musician, singer-songwriter, producer and guitarist of the soft rock duo Air Supply. In 1975, with Russell Hitchcock, he formed Air Supply in Australia. The duo have been singing and performing romantic songs and ballads, such as " Lost in Love", "All Out of Love", "Every Woman in the World", "The One That You Love", "Even the Nights Are Better", "Goodbye" and "Making Love Out of Nothing at All", for more than 45 years. Russell Charles Hitchcock (born 15 June 1949) is an Australian musician and lead vocalist of the soft rock duo Air Supply. Early life Born in Melbourne, Hitchcock attended South Brunswick State School, and later studied at Princes Hill High School in Carlton North. In 1965, he left school to work as a salesman.
