Menzingers
The Menzingers are an American punk rock band from Scranton, Pennsylvania, formed in 2006. The band consists of Greg Barnett (vocals, guitar), Tom May (vocals, guitar), Eric Keen (bass) and Joe Godino (drums). To date, the band has released seven studio albums, with their most recent, ''From Exile,'' released on September 25, 2020. History The Menzingers formed in the wake of Scranton ska-punk/pop punk bands Bob and the Sagets, featuring Tom May, Joe Godino, Eric Keen, and non-Menzingers members Lee Hartney & Curtis Irie, currently of Irie Idea; and Kos Mos, featuring Greg Barnett, Adam Mcilwee of Tigers Jaw, and Wicca Phase Springs Eternal; and Leo Vergnetti of Captain, We're Sinking. Their first release was a self-titled demo tape made in 2006, which made its way onto many top ten lists of that year. ''On the Impossible Past'' is the third studio album by American punk rock band The Menzingers. It was released by Epitaph Records on February 21, 2012. The album was met with widespread acclaim by music critics, with the aggregating website Metacritic calculating an average score of 93 out of 100. Chamberlain Waits
''Chamberlain Waits'' is the second studio album by American punk rock band The Menzingers. The album was voted the best release of 2010, by Australian radio show Bullying The Jukebox. Release On January 5, 2010, ''Chamberlain Waits'' was announced for release in three months' time. Following this, the band supported Anti-Flag on their headlining US tour. On March 2, 2010, the album's artwork and track listing were posted online. On March 16, 2010, "I Was Born" was released as a single with "Mea Culpa Cabana" and "My Friend Chris" as its B-sides. Later in the month, the band performed at Harvest of Hope Fest. ''Rented World'' is the fourth studio album by American punk rock band The Menzingers. Recording The band entered Miner Street Recordings, the first time the band recorded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in October 2013 with producer Jonathan Low (Venice Sunlight, Restorations). Release "In Remission" was released to radio on March 3, 2014. "I Don't Wanna Be an Asshole Anymore" was released to radio on March 31, 2014. ''Rented World'' was released through Epitaph Records on April 22, 2014. The band released a music video for "I Don't Wanna Be an Asshole Anymore" on the day the album was released. A Lesson In The Abuse Of Information Technology
''A Lesson in the Abuse of Information Technology'' is the debut studio album by American punk rock band The Menzingers. The album was recorded in "like two weeks, maybe just 10 days," according to Barnett. It was released on July 17, 2007 through Go-Kart Records, who they signed to after being featured in a profile piece on Punknews.org. In October and November 2007, the embarked on a tour of the US, which included an appearance at The Fest. They played a shows shows with Young Hearts in February 2008. In June 2008, the band went on a US tour with the Leftovers. They then appeared at The Fest in Florida in October 2008. They played a handful of shows with Captain, We're Sinking in January 2009, and some with Jena Berlin in March 2009. Red Scare Industries
Red Scare Industries (sometimes referred to as Red Scare Records) is a punk rock record label. The label was started in San Francisco (but moved to Chicago) by former Fat Wreck Chords employee Toby Jeg. Jeg started the label in 2004 when his friend Brendan Kelly of The Lawrence Arms wanted a new label to release the EP for his new band The Falcon, it has since released material for bands such as The Lillingtons, Cobra Skulls, The Copyrights, Sundowner, Teenage Bottlerocket, and more. For 2010 and 2011, Red Scare albums by The Menzingers and The Sidekicks have been named album of the year by punknews.org. Chumped was an American pop punk band based in Brooklyn, New York, United States. The band formed in 2012, and released two extended plays before releasing their sole LP, ''Teenage Retirement'', in 2014 on Anchorless Records. The band announced an "indefinite hiatus" in 2015 and performed their final show in February 2016. Epitaph Records is an American independent record label owned by Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz. Go-Kart Records is an independent record label specializing in punk rock located in New York City that was most active from 1995 to 2005. It also has a European division in Mannheim, Germany. History In its May 1999 issue, ''Guitar World'' magazine listed Go-Kart as one of the "twelve most influential forces in punk rock today" along with Epitaph Records, Ian MacKaye, Jello Biafra and NOFX. In 2003 the label released the first commercially available MP3 CdD entitled the "Go-kart MP300 Raceway." All-music called the release a, "revolution in a jewel case." It contained 300 songs from 150 bands and included an MP3 player and instructions on how to burn the songs to CD. Lemuria was an American rock band formed in 2004 and originally based in Buffalo, New York. After a series of singles and EPs, Lemuria released albums between 2007 and 2017, and toured both the U.S. and internationally.
