Mendes-Vila Natal (CPTM)
Bruno Covas/Mendes–Vila Natal, formerly Mendes–Vila Natal, or simply just Mendes or Vila Natal, is a train station on ViaMobilidade Line 9-Emerald. It is part of the State Government plan to extend the line in until the place where was located the old Varginha station of the Jurubatuba branch, of the extinct FEPASA. The branch was deactivated by CPTM in the end of 2001 "due to infrastructure precariousness" of the line at the time. After the station opening, Governor João Doria signed an executive order renaming the station after the late São Paulo mayor Bruno Covas, who died from cancer in May 2021. Line 9 (Emerald) ( pt, Linha 9–Esmeralda), formerly Line C (Sky Blue) () and Line C (Emerald) (), is one of the three lines operated by ViaMobilidade and one of the thirteen lines that make up the São Paulo Metro Rail Transport Network, in Brazil. The Subprefecture of Capela do Socorro is one of 32 subprefectures of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It comprises three districts: Socorro, Grajaú, and Cidade Dutra. Márcio Luiz França Gomes (born 23 June 1963) is a Brazilian lawyer and politician, member of the Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB), and former governor and vice governor of São Paulo, elected with Geraldo Alckmin in 2014. Bruno Covas
Bruno Covas Lopes (7 April 1980 – 16 May 2021) was a Brazilian lawyer, economist, and politician who was a member of the Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB) and served as the mayor of São Paulo from 2018 until his death in 2021. Covas was the grandson of former São Paulo state governor Mário Covas. Before becoming mayor, Bruno Covas had served as national president of PSDB Youth and São Paulo state secretary for the environment. In October 2016, Covas was elected vice mayor of São Paulo, as the running mate of PSDB mayoral candidate João Doria. In early April 2018, Covas took office as mayor after João Doria resigned to run for the state governorship in the 2018 general elections. João Agripino da Costa Doria Júnior (; born 16 December 1957) is a Brazilian politician, businessman and journalist who served as Governor of São Paulo, from January 2019 to March 2022. Varginha (CPTM)
Varginha will be a train station on ViaMobilidade Line 9-Emerald, in the district of Grajaú in São Paulo. It is part of a plan of the State Government to extend the Line Emerald in towards south of the city, from Grajaú station. It is being rebuilt in the place where was located the old Varginha station, which belonged to the Jurubatuba branch, of the extinct FEPASA. The branch was deactivated by CPTM on November 2001, "due to infrastructure precariousness" of the line at the time, which was not compatible with the rest of the railway, nor with the new administrative policies adopted by the company during that period, as it aimed a "pattern elevation" of the services provided by the company, transforming Line C-Celeste (current Line 9-Emerald), just like other railways transferred to it, from suburban services to metropolitan services.
