Menard River
The Ménard River is a tributary of the Wawagosic River, flowing into the municipality of Baie-James, Eeyou Istchee James Bay (municipality), in the administrative region of Nord-du-Québec, in Quebec, in Canada. The course of the Ménard River crosses successively the cantons of Lemaire and Brabazon. Forestry is the main economic activity of the sector; recreational tourism activities, second. Menard Art Museum
The Menard Art Museum (メナード美術館) is a museum located in Komaki, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. The museum was founded by the owners of Nippon Menard Cosmetic Co. and opened in 1987. Art works in the permanent collection include "''Portrait of Jeanne Martin in hat adorned with rose''" by Édouard Manet (1881), and "''Man in a Field or Evening, the End of the Day''" (1889) by Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh. The museum has a large collection of Japanese paintings of the 19th and 20th centuries. On display are both works of art in traditional Japanese style of painting (''Nihonga''), as well as images that have been influenced by Western art movements (''Yōga''). Team Menard
Team Menard was an auto racing team that competed in the Indianapolis 500, CART, Indy Racing League, NASCAR Cup Series, and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. The team was owned by Menards founder, John Menard Jr.. Founded in 1980 to compete in CART, from 1991 to 1996 they modified their own Buick V6 engines for racing. This combination won pole for the 500 with Scott Brayton in 1995 and 1996; Tony Stewart used this combination for the first part of his 1996-1997 IRL Championship. With more stringent regulations, the team continued to shine winning the 1999 championship with Greg Ray. However, with the influx of former CART teams to the IRL in the early 2000s, Team Menard struggled to compete for wins and the team merged in 2004 with Panther Racing, although their car continued to carry Menard's colors and be driven first by Mark Taylor, who was then replaced by Townsend Bell. Menard Correctional Center, known prior to 1970 as Southern Illinois Penitentiary, is an Illinois state prison located in the town of Chester in Randolph County, Illinois. The Menard Press is a small-press independent publisher founded by Anthony Rudolf. It started as a magazine in 1969 and put out its first book in 1971.
