Memphis Cook Convention Center
The Renasant Convention Center is a convention complex located in downtown Memphis, Tennessee, United States. The building is East of the Mississippi River just south of Interstate 40. The building's raised exhibition space spans over North Front Street. It was formerly known as the Memphis Cook Convention Center. Notable annual events include the Autozone national sales meeting, Memphis International Auto Show, and Mid-South Farm & Gin Show. The complex was designed by Haglund and Venable Architects, Ellers & Reaves (Structural), and Allen & Hoshall (Mechanical) in 1967. MATA Trolley
The MATA Trolley is a heritage streetcar transit system operating in Memphis, Tennessee. It began operating on April 29, 1993. Service was suspended in June 2014, following fires on two cars. After nearly four years and repeated postponements, the reopening of the Main Street Line took place on April 30, 2018. In , the system had a ridership of . The last line of Memphis’ original streetcar network closed on June 15, 1947. Since opening the system has been extended twice and now consists of three lines, operated by the Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA). Memphis International Auto Show
The Memphis International Auto Show is an annual auto show held every January in Memphis, Tennessee. The event takes place at the Memphis Cook Convention Center in Downtown Memphis and is affiliated with the '' Motor Trend'' regional auto show circuit. Despite the event's title name, not all vehicles or automakers are featured due to the limited convention space. Although the event is opened to visitors in the greater Memphis area, including residents from Arkansas and Mississippi, it is mandated at all auto shows in Tennessee that under state law, no sales may take place on the premises, and signs to that effect must be posted.
