Melodifestivalen 2020
Melodifestivalen 2020 was the 60th edition of the Swedish music competition Melodifestivalen. The competition was organised by Sveriges Television (SVT) and took place over a six-week period between 1 February and 7 March 2020. Retrieved 3 September 2019 The winner of the competition was The Mamas with the song "Move", who would have represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The Mamas were the first band to win since 2007 and the first female act to win since 2014; this is the fourth time in the history of Melodifestivalen that Sweden was unable to send a song to the Eurovision Song Contest (and the first such occurrence since 1976), as the contest itself was cancelled on 18 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lina Hedlund
Lina Maria Hedlund (born 28 March 1978) is a Swedish singer and member of the pop group Alcazar (band), Alcazar. She also has a solo career. Career Hedlund was born in Bollnäs. She has participated in Melodifestivalen a number of times, in Melodifestivalen 2002 along with her sister, singer Hanna Hedlund with the song "Big Time Party", in Melodifestivalen 2003 as a solo singer, and in Melodifestivalen 2009, Melodifestivalen 2010, 2010 and Melodifestivalen 2014, 2014 as a member of the pop trio Alcazar. In late 2003 Lina released the single "Lady Bump". In 2007, Hedlund joined the pop group Alcazar after the departure of Magnus Carlsson and Annika Kjærgaard; her first gig with the group was at the G-A-Y nightclub in London, UK. Scandinavium
Scandinavium () is an indoor arena located in Gothenburg, Sweden. Construction on Scandinavium began in 1969 after decades of setbacks, and was inaugurated on 18 May 1971. Scandinavium has been selected as a championship arena at least fifty times, hosting events such as World Championships in handball and ice hockey, European championships, Davis Cup finals, and in 1985 the Eurovision Song Contest. Scandinavium is the home arena for Frölunda HC of Swedish Hockey League and venue for the annual Göteborg Horse Show. Robin Stjernberg
Robin James Olof Stjernberg (; born 22 February 1991, Hässleholm, Sweden) is a Swedish pop singer, songwriter and producer. He represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 on home soil on 18 May 2013 with the song "You". Stjernberg started his career in the boyband What's Up!, and became a contestant in Idol 2011, placing as first runner up in the final. He participated in Eurovision Song Contest 2017 as the songwriter for the song "I Can't Go On" performed by Robin Bengtsson, which ended up in fifth place. Career In band What's Up! Albin Johnsén
Albin Johnsén better known by the mononym Albin (born 22 July 1989, in Boo, Stockholm county) is a Swedish artist, rapper and songwriter. He gained fame with his 2014 song "Din soldat" that also featured vocals from Kristin Amparo and was co-written by Albin and Mattias Andréasson known as DNA. The song reached number one on the Swedish Singles Chart. The follow-up "Vilken jävla smäll", featured by Amparo and co-written with Andréasson, was used in the soundtrack for the film ''Den perfekta stöten''. Albin and Andréasson have further collaborated on the songs "Moment 22" and "Frank", the latter dedicated to Albin's son called Frank. Albin was nominated for a number of awards including P3 Guld and the Swedish Grammies gala for best Swedish song for "Din soldat". Jan Christian Johansen (born 9 January 1966) is a Sweden, Swedish singer, best known for representing Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1995. Life and career Jan Johansen represented Sweden at the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest with "Se på mig" and finished third with 100 points. The song stayed at the top of Svensktoppen for fifteen weeks, charting for thirty weeks in total. His father is the Norwegian jazz musician Egil Johansen (musician), Egil Johansen and his mother is the Norwegian-born 50s jazz singer Ellen Böbak. Nationalarenan, currently known as Friends Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a retractable roof multi-purpose stadium in Stockholm, Sweden. Located next to the lake Råstasjön in Solna, just north of the City Centre, it is the biggest stadium in Scandinavia. Eskilstuna () is a city and the seat of Eskilstuna Municipality, Södermanland County, Sweden. The city of Eskilstuna had 67,359 inhabitants in 2015, with a total population of 100,092 inhabitants in Eskilstuna municipality (2014). Eskilstuna has a large Sweden Finn population. Stiga Sports Arena Eskilstuna, or simply Stiga Sports Arena, is an indoor venue and sports arena in the Munktellstaden district in central Eskilstuna, Sweden, which is commonly used to host sporting events, such as handball, floorball, and futsal at a national level. Construction The arena has three halls named A (largest), B and C (smallest), with the main arena being approximately 15,600 square meters.
