Melodifestivalen 1992
After Carola Häggkvist's win in the 1991 contest, Sweden was the host of the Eurovision Song Contest 1992, held in Malmö. Sveriges Television, the Swedish broadcaster, continued to use the Melodifestivalen format to select their entry. Christer Björkman represented the country with the song "I morgon är en annan dag", composed by Niklas Strömstedt. Before Eurovision Melodifestivalen 1992 Melodifestivalen 1992 was the selection for the 32nd song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 31st time that this system of picking a song had been used. 1,544 songs were submitted to SVT for the competition. The final was held in the Cirkus in Stockholm on 14 March 1992, presented by Adde Malmberg and Claes Malmberg and broadcast on Kanal 1 and Sveriges Radio's P3 network. Christer Björkman
Christer Samuel Björkman (; born 25 August 1957) is a Swedish singer and television producer. He represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1992 with the song "I morgon är en annan dag". From 2002 to 2021, he served as a producer of Melodifestivalen, and remained an important figure in Melodifestivalen and the Eurovision Song Contest. He stepped down from this position after Melodifestivalen 2021, and is currently working at Voxovation, a Los Angeles-based company that focuses on expanding the Eurovision Song Contest brand into other markets. Biography Björkman was born in Borås as the son of gaming entrepreneur Ulla Björkman (b. 1939). He never met his father while he was alive. He began working as a hairdresser, and soon had his own hair salon in Borås. Angel was a group from Degerfors in Sweden, breaking through with their 1991 chart success '' Sommaren i city''. Yugoslavia In The Eurovision Song Contest 1992
Yugoslavia participated for the last time in the Eurovision Song Contest 1992, held in Malmö, Sweden as the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (consisting of Serbia and Montenegro). The last Yugoslav representative was Extra Nena with the song "Ljubim te pesmama". Before Eurovision Jugovizija 1992 The national final was held on 28 March 1992 in the RTV Belgrade Studios in Belgrade. The show was hosted by Dragana Katić and Radoš Bajić. The Yugoslav national broadcaster, JRT, invited all Yugoslav republics to participate in the national final, however, Slovenian and Croatian broadcasters didn't send any entries as their independence had widespread recognition by January 1992. Jag kan se en ängel is a jazz-inspired dansband song written by Johnny Thunqvist and Kaj Svenling. It was one of the entries for Melodifestivalen 1992, where it was performed by Lena Pålsson, back then singer of Wizex. Wizex
Wizex is a Swedish dansband formed in Osby in 1973. It purchased the rights to the name from a band that started as ''Ulrik Wittmans Kvintett'' in 1957''.'' When Ulrik Wittman left the band in 1963 they started to use the name ''Wizex''. When read out the name sounds like "The Six of Us", "vi sex", in Swedish, and it was six persons left in the band when they changed the name. Today's band had six founders and was allowed to purchase the name, and hence use 1973 as the starting point. Wizex broke through in 1977 when they performed on nationwide TV-show '' Nygammalt'' and got its first top ten on the Swedish charts same year with the song ''Vagabond.'' En Enda Gång (song)
"En enda gång", lyrics by Hans Skoog and music Martin Klaman, is a power ballad which Kikki Danielsson performed when it finished fourth at the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1992. Kikki Danielsson had throat problems, which caused her voice to become more hoarse than usual. However, this didn't seem to affect the result in a negative way, since the song reminded of those heavy mer ballads with hoarse singer remaining popularity at that time. Kikki Danielsson
Ann-Kristin "Kikki" Danielsson (born 10 May 1952) is a Swedish country, dansband and pop singer. Sometimes, she also plays the accordion and she has also written some lyrics. She has gained notice for yodeling in some songs. Danielsson gained her largest popularity in the Nordic region from the late 1970s until the late 1990s.
