Melodifestivalen 1990
Sweden entered the Eurovision Song Contest 1990, held in Zagreb, Yugoslavia. Swedish broadcaster Sveriges Television used their tried-and-tested pre-selection Melodifestivalen to select their entry for the 29th time. Melodifestivalen 1990 was held on 9 March, where ten artists competed. Edin-Ådahl won the contest, beating 1983 representative Carola Häggkvist to second place. Their song, written by Mikael Wendt, was "Som en vind". Before Eurovision Melodifestivalen 1990 Melodifestivalen 1990 was the contest for selection of the 30th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 29th time that this method of picking a song had been used. 1,223 songs were submitted to SVT for the competition. The final was held in the Rondo in Gothenburg on 9 March 1990, presented by Carin Hjulström and was broadcast on TV2 but not on radio. Edin-Ådahl
Edin-Ådahl were a Swedish CCM band from 1977 to 1994, composed of brothers Bertil and Lasse Edin and Simon and Frank Ådahl. The group are best known for their 1990 hit "Som en vind" ( en, "Like a Wind"). It won the 1990 Melodifestivalen and went on to place sixteenth at the Eurovision Song Contest. The following year, the band placed second in the Melodifestivalen. Simon Ådahl participated in 1995 together with Lasse Edin. Another song, "Revival", rose to No. 3 on Sweden's radio charts. Their English albums had similar production quality when compared to secular albums, but also poor distribution and "lousy lyrics". En Gång Till (song)
"En gång till" ("one more time"), written by Christer Lundh and Mikael Wendt, is the song that Swedish dansband singer Lotta Engberg performed when it competed in the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1990, where it finished 8th. In 1990, Lotta & Anders Engbergs Orkester released the single ''En gång till'', with the song ''Bara du'' as B-side. The song charted at Svensktoppen for two weeks during the period 8–15 April 1990, with a 7th and an 8th place as best result there. Anna Sofia Helena Källgren, known as Sofia Källgren (born 17 August 1970, Högsbo, Sweden), is a Sweden, Swedish singer. "Mitt i ett äventyr" is a song written by Stephan Berg, and performed by Carola Häggkvist at Melodifestivalen 1990, where the song ended up second, 15 points after Edin-Ådahl with "Som en vind". During Carola Häggkvist's the Nacka transmitter was knocked out. Urban rumors told about sabotage, since Carola Häggkvist had joined Christian denomination Livets ord. Lars-Eric Gustav "Lasse" Holm (born 9 December 1943) is a Swedish singer, songwriter and television host. Holm has also hosted and appeared in several television shows.
