Edin-Ådahl
Edin-Ådahl were a Swedish CCM band from 1977 to 1994, composed of brothers Bertil and Lasse Edin and Simon and Frank Ådahl. The group are best known for their 1990 hit " Som en vind" ( en, "Like a Wind"). It won the 1990 Melodifestivalen and went on to place sixteenth at the Eurovision Song Contest. The following year, the band placed second in the Melodifestivalen. Simon Ådahl participated in 1995 together with Lasse Edin. Another song, "Revival", rose to No. 3 on Sweden's radio charts. Their English albums had similar production quality when compared to secular albums, but also poor distribution and "lousy lyrics". Sweden entered the Eurovision Song Contest 1990, held in Zagreb, Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia. Swedish broadcaster Sveriges Television used their tried-and-tested pre-selection Melodifestivalen to select their entry for the 29th time. Melodifestivalen 1990 was held on 9 March, where ten artists competed. Edin-Ådahl won the contest, beating Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1983, 1983 representative Carola Häggkvist to second place. Their song, written by Mikael Wendt, was "Som en vind". Before Eurovision Melodifestivalen 1990 Melodifestivalen 1990 was the contest for selection of the 30th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. Sweden In The Eurovision Song Contest
Sweden has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 61 times since making its debut in 1958, missing only three contests since then (1964, 1970 and 1976). Eurovision Song Contest 1990
The Eurovision Song Contest 1990 was the 35th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It was held in Zagreb, SR Croatia, Yugoslavia, following the country's victory at the with the song " Rock Me" by Riva. It was the only time Yugoslavia hosted the contest. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcasters Yugoslav Radio Television (JRT) and Radiotelevision Zagreb (RTZ), the contest was held at Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall on 5 May 1990 and was hosted by Croatian television presenters Helga Vlahović and Oliver Mlakar. It was the first Eurovision Song Contest held in the Balkans as well as the first and only contest held in a communist or socialist state. Tommy Nilsson
Erik Tommy Nilsson (born 11 March 1960) is a Swedish singer, songwriter and actor. Career In the late 1970s, Nilsson was the singer of Swedish heavy metal band Horizont. The group released two albums but a French producer, Yves Accary, contacted Nilsson and signed him to a French record company. The singer enjoyed his first big hit in France in 1981 with the song "No Way No How". The single sold one million copies and the album 200 000 copies. ''No Way No How'', his first album, included disco tracks and ballads. A follow up LP ''Tommy Nilsson'' was released in 1982 and this time the songs were composed by Tommy Nilsson and Alex R Contanstinos. This was a rock album, recorded in Stockholm and Los Angeles, but it did not sell very well and after two years of travelling between France and the United States, Nilsson decided to go back to Sweden.
