Melanchthonweg RandstadRail Station
Melanchthonweg is a metro station, as a part of the Rotterdam metro and the regional light rail system RandstadRail, located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. History The RandstadRail station opened on 10 September 2006 for the RET Erasmuslijn metro service, currently line E. It was built to replace the old Rotterdam Kleiweg railway station (Kleiwegkwartier), which was located 300 meters south of the new Melanchthonweg station and was served by trains on the Hofpleinlijn. The station features 2 platforms, that are the same height as the train doors. Due to a mistake made by the municipality, the street where the station is located is called ''Melanchtonweg'', without the second ''h''. The name of the RandstadRail station does feature this second ''h''. In 2006 and 2007 the service was operated as a shuttle Rotterdam Hofplein - Nootdorp. Hillegersberg-Schiebroek
Hillegersberg-Schiebroek is a borough in northern Rotterdam. The borough has (on January 1, 2008) 40,846 inhabitants. Until the annexation by Rotterdam on August 1, 1941, Hillegersberg and Schiebroek were independent communities. In 1947 in Rotterdam, the first elected councils established, in 1948 was the first Hillegersberg-Schiebroek ward council. In 1972, the Regulation on the localities in the city of Rotterdam was adopted. The neighbourhood council of Hillegersberg-Schiebroek was in 1983 converted into a municipal section. Hillegersberg is operated by Rotterdam tram lines 4 and 8 and Schiebroek by tram line 25. The borough is also served by several bus lines from the RET and Qbuzz. Within the municipality Hillegersberg-Schiebroek the Stichting Wijkvervoer Hillegersberg-Schiebroek takes care of cheap transportation for the elderly and other people unable to use own or public transport. Leidschendam-Voorburg is the RandstadRail station in of Leidschendam-Voorburg, the Netherlands. History The station opened, as a railway station, on 1 October 1908 as part of the Hofpleinlijn (Den Haag - Rotterdam Hofplein). From 20 May 1977 the station was also served by services from Den Haag operating on the Zoetermeerlijn, operating Zoetermeer Stadslijn services. Wilhelminaplein is an underground subway station in Rotterdam, Netherlands, which lies south of the Maas river. It is part of Rotterdam Metro lines D and E. Wilhelminaplein station was opened in 1997 as a new infill station of the North-South Line, which itself was already opened in 1968. Because the station was constructed at the location where the metro tunnel is going up on its way to the surface, the platforms, like the rest of the station, are not entirely horizontal.
