Meiju Suvas
Meiju Annele Suvas-Berger (born 22 January 1959), professionally known as Meiju Suvas, is a Finnish singer. Career beginnings Music has been a part of Meiju Suvas' life from a very young age. She started to take piano lessons at the age of four, and later learned to play drums. Suvas formed her first band when she was 13 and made her first demo in 1981. That year she also met with singer Frederik who made her his background singer for the song "Titanic" which was competing for becoming Finland's Eurovision Song Contest entry. While her first double-sided single "Rakastuneet lapset / Jos pyydät yöksi" did not really take off, her second release "Tahdon sinut / Oot paha" made her a household name in 1982. Ilkka Juhani Sysimetsä (born 2 February 1945), known professionally as Frederik. is a Finnish singer. He is also known by his nickname Reetu. During his lengthy career of machostyle disco and pop music, he has been awarded with five gold and three diamond records. One of his contemporary nicknames is "Junttidiscon kuningas" ("King of redneckdisco"). Frederik started his musical career as an electric organist in a pop group named Jim & The Beatmakers. Ubaldo Rodríguez Santos (May 16, 1958 – December 13, 2022), known professionally as Lalo Rodríguez, was a Puerto Rican salsa music, salsa singer recognized as one of the pioneers of the subgenre of Salsa romántica, Romantic or Erotic Salsa. Early life Rodriguez was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on May 16, 1958 to parents Magdalena Santos and Jose Rodriguez. Pasi Siitonen (born 22 August 1978, in Finland), better known by his stage name Stig or Stig Dogg, is a Finnish hip hop, R&B and country music singer. He has also played in jazz/funk bands like G-Litter, Kuja Orchestra and Raisin Team. He is a studio engineer under the pseudonym Hullukoira at 3rd Rail Music. Lord Est
Lord Est is a Finnish dancehall reggae duo from Tampere made up of Tuomo Hiironmäki on vocals and his brother Uncle Tan on keyboards. In general, Tuomo writes the lyrics and Uncle Tan (earlier known as D Mon) composes the music. Lord Est has released 5 albums and many singles. They are also known for their cooperation with other artists and musical projects. Tuomo Hiironmäki started in the 1990s as a rapper and a part of Finnish hiphop group Ghetto Blasta. His graffiti tag was Est, hence the name. The title Lord was invented by his friend from Ghetto Blasta, Big Jay (nowadays manager of the group). Ghetto Blasta broke up and Lord Est became more interested in new dancehall trend by Radio Mafia's late-night show ''Roots & Culture'', hosted by Tero Kaski.
