''Megh o Roudra'' (English: Clouds and Sunshine) is a Bengali drama film directed by Arundhati Devi and produced by Ajitesh Bandopadhyay based on Rabindranath Tagore's short story by the same name. This film was released in 1969 under the banner of K.L. Kapur Productions. Plot This is the story of Shasibhusan, a young lawyer. After completion of study he lives in a village of British India. Very often a little neighborhood girl Giribala comes to his home for learning. Giribala's father is a landlord. Her family marries her off at her childhood. Shashi never express his untold love to Giribala. He is an educated, courageous and law abiding person who always stands for villagers against the oppression of British administrator. Arundhati Devi (; also known as Arundhati Mukherjee or Mukhopadhyay) (1924 – 1990) was an Indian actress, director, writer and singer who is predominantly known for her work in Bengali cinema. Arundhati Devi was a student of Visva-Bharati University where she was trained in Rabindra Sangeet by Sailajaranjan Majumdar. She began her career as a Rabindra Sangeet singer at All India Radio in 1940. Ajitesh Bandopadhyay ( bn, অজিতেশ বন্দোপাধ্যায়; born: 30 September 1933 ― 13 October 1983) was an actor, playwright, activist and director. Swarup Dutta (22 June 1941 – 24 July 2019) was a Bengali actor. His son Saron Dutta is a director in Bengali film industry. Early life Dutta was born in famous Dutta family of Hatkhola, Kolkata in 1941. In 1958 he passed Matriculation from the South Point School and completed I.A. from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira. Dutta graduated in economics from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. Career During his school days Dutta came into contact with veteran actor Utpal Dutt. He also performed with Utpal Dutt on stage. First breakthrough of his career is Apanjan, a popular drama film of Tapan Sinha released in 1968. This movie won the National Film Award.
