Megan Jones (rugby Union)
Megan Jones (born 23 October 1996) is a Welsh and English rugby union player. She debuted for England against New Zealand in 2015. She plays for Wasps Ladies at club level. Her partner is Team GB international teammate Celia Quansah. International career Jones travelled to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro as a non-playing reserve for Team GB sevens. Despite being a Welsh-speaker and growing up Wales, Jones made her XVs debut for England in July 2015, playing against New Zealand in the Rugby Super Series that year. She then played off the bench in England's 39–6 win over Canada in the Old Mutual Wealth Series. She was named in the English squad for the 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup in Ireland, where she scored the side's opening try (against Spain). Bristol Bears Women, formerly Clifton Ladies RFC, then Bristol Ladies, is a women's rugby union team based in Bristol, England. They are a standalone, independent rugby club, running in partnership with the Bristol Bears (formerly Bristol Rugby) since becoming affiliated to them in 2008 and play their home matches at Dings RFC in the Premier 15s. 2021 Women's Six Nations Championship
The 2021 Women's Six Nations Championship was the 20th series of the Women's Six Nations Championship, an annual women's rugby union competition between England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales. The 2021 tournament was given a change of format from its traditional eight week round-robin format to a four-week format consisting of two pools of three teams with a final, inspired by the format of the Autumn Nations Cup, which replaced the 2020 Autumn Internationals. 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup
The 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup was the eighth edition of the Women's Rugby World Cup and was held in Ireland in August 2017. New Zealand became the 2017 champions by beating England 41–32 in the final on 26 August. Matches were held in Dublin and Belfast. The pool stages were held at University College Dublin with the semi finals and finals held at Queen's University and Kingspan Stadium in Belfast. Celia Quansah
Celia Quansah (born 25 October 1996) is an English rugby sevens player who plays for Leicester Tigers Women. She was selected as a member of the Great Britain women's national rugby sevens team for the 2020 Summer Olympics. Biography Born to a Ghanaian father and English mother, Quansah grew up in Twickenham. She participated in athletics, winning the long jump event at the 2011 School Games, and represented England internationally in heptathlon, competing at the British Championships against Jessica Ennis-Hill. Whilst at university, she took up rugby.
