Mechthild Georg
Mechthild Georg is a German operatic mezzo-soprano, and a professor of voice at the Musikhochschule Köln. Career Georg studied Roman studies and history at the Cologne University, and music pedagogy at the Musikhochschule Köln. She then studied voice at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf with Ingeborg Reichelt. She graduated in 1982 as a concert singer, and continued studies as an opera singer. She was a member of the Cologne Opera Studio in 1982/83, and took master classes with Giulietta Simionato and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf. She performed roles of early Italian opera such as Penelope in Monteverdi's ''Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria'' and Ottavia in his ''L'incoronazione di Poppea''. Mechtild Widrich is an Austrian art historian, curator, and professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Educated at University of Vienna (M.Phil Art History) and the MIT School of Architecture and Planning#Academic and research program, MIT School of Architecture (PhD History, Theory, and Criticism) Widrich taught art and architectural history at the University of Vienna, the ETH Zurich, ETH Zürich, the University of Zurich, University of Zürich and the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Mechtild Rössler is a German feminist geographer and cultural heritage scholar. From 2015 until her retirement in November 2021 she was Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Center in Paris. Mechthilde Wittmann (born 12 December 1967) is a German lawyer and politician of the Christian Social Union in Bavaria (CSU) who has been serving as a member of the Bundestag since 2021. Early life and education Wittmann was born 1967 in Munich and the daughter of politician Fritz Wittmann. She studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich and law at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Political career Wittmann joined the CSU in 1983. Mechthild Bach is a German soprano and a professor at the Hochschule für Musik Trossingen. Biography and career Bach was born in Limburg an der Lahn, where she was a member of the Limburg Cathedral's girl choir from a very young age.
