Meagan Best
Meagan Best (born 26 April 2002) is an accomplished Barbadian female squash player. She is currently considered as the leading squash player to represent Barbados at international level. Her highest career ranking was 208 in January 2018 and is currently ranked 243 as of April 2018. Career She rose to prominence in her squash career after winning the Girl's U17 category at the US Junior Open squash championship in 2017. Meagan also became the first squash player from a Caribbean nation to win a US Junior Open squash championship title. Meagan Best was also named as one of the members of the Barbados contingent for the 2018 Commonwealth Games just at the age of fifteen and she was also the flagbearer for Barbados at the 2018 Commonwealth Games during the opening ceremony of the 2018 Commonwealth Games Parade of Nations. US Junior Open Squash Championship
The United States Junior Open Squash Championship is the largest individual junior squash tournament in the world and is considered the third most prestigious junior open squash championship after the World Junior and the British Junior Open squash championship. It is just one of just five Tier 2 events used in the WSF World Junior Squash Circuit. The US Junior Open has shifted around locations in recent years due to efforts to secure the large amount of courts required to hold such a big tournament because multiple venues, usually four, host the tournament. It was held in Seattle in 2007, then Trinity College and surrounding schools in Hartford in 2008 and 2009, then Harvard University and surrounding schools in Boston from 2010 to 2012. 2018 Commonwealth Games
The 2018 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XXI Commonwealth Games and also known as Gold Coast 2018, was an international multi-sport event for members of the Commonwealth that were held on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, between 4 and 15 April 2018. 2018 Commonwealth Games Parade Of Nations
During the Parade of Nations at the 2018 Commonwealth Games opening ceremony, held on 4 April 2018, 71 athletes bearing the flags of their respective nations led their national delegations as they paraded into Carrara Stadium in the host city of Gold Coast, Australia. Parade order Following tradition, the host of the previous games, Scotland enters first, followed by the rest of the European countries competing. Mihiliya Methsarani (born 15 January 1998) is a Sri Lankan female squash player. She has represented Sri Lanka in international competitions such as Asian Youth Games, South Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and has won medals. Currently, she is considered as Sri Lanka's best squash player. Methsarani has won the National Squash Championship of Sri Lanka six times (2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018).
