John McTernan
John McTernan (born 1959) is a British political strategist and commentator. He has been a political adviser to the Labour Party. McTernan was Prime Minister Tony Blair's Director of Political Operations from 2005 to 2007. He then worked on the November 2007 Australian Labor Party federal election campaign. From 2007 to 2010 he was special adviser to two Cabinet Ministers in Gordon Brown's Labour Government: first to Des Browne, Secretary of State for Scotland and Secretary of State for Defence, and then to Jim Murphy MP, the Secretary of State for Scotland from 2008 until May 2010. From June 2010 to October 2011, he was a columnist at ''The Scotsman'', and then director of communications for the Australian Labor prime minister, Julia Gillard, from September 2011 to June 2013. Sarah McTernan
Sarah McTernan (born 11 March 1994) is an Irish singer-songwriter from Scarriff, County Clare. She is known for taking third place in the The Voice of Ireland (series 4), fourth season of ''The Voice of Ireland'' in April 2015. She represented Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "22 (Sarah McTernan song), 22". Early and personal life McTernan is an only child. After graduating in 2011, she took a pre-nursing course in Ennis, County Clare. She then went on to study music technology at Limerick Institute of Technology for several months. She took a break from education and continued to work as a retail employee in Primark, Penneys. McKiernan Clan
The surname McKiernan ( ga, Mág Tighearnán), is of Ireland, Irish origin and is found predominantly in the county of County Cavan, Cavan where it originated. The Irish name is Mág Tighearnán meaning ''the Son of Tighearnán'' and the clan or sept takes its name from one Tighearnán who lived c. 1100 AD. He was descended from the 8th-century Dúnchadh, a descendant of Brión mac Echach Muigmedóin. Dúnchadh gave his name to Teallach Dúnchadha (Irish meaning the Hearth of Dúnchadh), the modern day barony of Tullyhunco in County Cavan.
