	McMillan Flowage McMillan Flowage is a lake of Victoria County, in north-eastern Nova Scotia, Canada.It was created when the Nova Scotia Power Corporation constructed the Wreck Cove Hydro Electric Station and placed D-7 Dam across Indian Brook. Local government is provided by the Municipality of the County of Victoria and the Wagmatcook 1 reserve. History Named after Queen Victoria, it was established by statute in 1851. Cape Breton County was divided into two separate counties in that year, with the northern portion becoming Victoria County. Like other parts of Nova Scotia, the county was sparsely inhabited by the Miꞌkmaq, who hunted in the area. The earliest settlers of Victoria County were almost exclusively Loyalists, with most arriving from the United States in the years following the American Revolutionary War. It was noted by historian G.G. 	Wreck Cove Hydroelectric System Wreck Cove is the largest hydroelectric system in Nova Scotia with a generating capacity of 215.8 MW. Constructed from 1975 to 1978, south of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Wreck Cove collects drainage water from of the Cape Breton Highlands plateau to generate renewable electricity. It consists of two generating stations: the Gisborne Generating Station, with an installed capacity of 3.5 MW, and the Wreck Cove Generating Station, with an installed capacity of 212 MW, producing on average 318 million kWh annually—enough energy to power about 30,000 homes. There are 33 hydro stations across Nova Scotia, with a total capacity of 400 MW.
