Robert McElhenney III (; born April 14, 1977) is an American actor, producer, writer, podcaster and co-owner of Wrexham A.F.C. He is best known for his role as Ronald "Mac" McDonald on the FX/FXX comedy series ''It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'' (2005–present), which he created and co-developed and on which he serves as an executive producer, co-writer, and occasional director. Marcus McElhenney (born July 27, 1981) is an American coxswain. He won a bronze medal in the men's eight at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Life and career McElhenney first competed internationally in 2001, representing the United States in Linz, Austria at the Nations' Cup (Under 23 World Championships) where he coxed the men's eight to a silver medal. McElhenney was invited to try out for the 2002 Under 23 World Championship team. His first major international success at the senior/Olympic level came at the 2003 World Rowing Championships in Milan where he won a gold medal in the coxed four event. A year later at the 2004 World Rowing Championships, he won a bronze medal in the same event. At 2005 World Rowing Championships he coxed both the eights and fours, winning a gold and a silver medal respectively, the first US athlete to have earned two medals at the same World Rowing Championships. Hugh Edward McElhenny Jr. (December 31, 1928 – June 17, 2022) was an American professional football player who was a halfback in the National Football League (NFL) from 1952 to 1964 for the San Francisco 49ers, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, and Detroit Lions. He was noted for his explosive, elusive running style and was frequently called "the King" and "Hurryin' Hugh". A member of San Francisco's famed Million Dollar Backfield and one of the franchise's most popular players, McElhenny's uniform number, No. 39, is retired by the 49ers and he is a member of the San Francisco 49ers Hall of Fame. Josiah McElheny (1966, Boston) is an artist and sculptor, primarily known for his work with glass blowing and assemblages of glass and mirrored glassed objects (see Glass art). He is a 2006 recipient of the MacArthur Fellows Program. He lives and works in New York City. Early life and education McElheny grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts. McElheny went on to receive his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1988. As part of that program, he trained under master glassblower Ronald Wilkins. After graduating, he was an apprentice to master glassblowers Jan-Erik Ritzman, Sven-Ake Caarlson and Lino Tagliapietra. Career In earlier works McElheny played with notions of history and fiction. The Ausenbaugh–McElhenny House is a historic house in the city of Huber Heights, a suburb of Dayton, Ohio, United States. Constructed in 1874, the Ausenbaugh–McElhenny House was originally home to one of the first men of Wayne Township, Joseph J. McElhenny, whose local prominence was demonstrated by his election to the office of justice of the peace.
