McDonald's WPGA Championship
The WPGA Championship of Europe was a women's professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour. The tournament was first played in 1979 in France, the first WPGA event held outside the United Kingdom. It was revived 1996 at Gleneagles in Scotland, titled the McDonald's WPGA Championship, and was the first event on the tour to be played solely for charity. Following the withdrawal of McDonald's as sponsors after just four years, there was a one-year break before the tournament returned to the tour in 2001 with a new home in Wales. Melissa Rose Reid (born 19 September 1987) is an English professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour.Profile on Ladies European Tour's official site

Early life and amateur career

Reid was born in Derby, England. As an amateur she won several events including the 2004 and 2005 English Girls' Championship, the 2006 and 2007 Helen Holm Trophy, the 2007 St Rule Trophy, and the 2007 Ladies' British Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship. She played on the Great Britain and Ireland team in the 2006 Curtis Cup. Reid was the low amateur at the 2007 Women's British Open with a T16 finish.

Dame Laura Jane Davies, (born 5 October 1963) is an English female professional golfer. She has achieved the status of her nation's most accomplished female golfer of modern times, being the first non-American to finish at the top of the LPGA money list as well as winning the Ladies European Tour (LET) Order of Merit a record seven times: in 1985, 1986, 1992, 1996, 1999, 2004 and 2006. Bettina Hauert
Bettina Alexandra Hauert (born 18 June 1982) is a German professional golfer and member of the Ladies European Tour. Amateur career Born in Hagen, Germany, Hauert was the individual champion at the 2003 Sherry Cup. She was also a member of the 2003 European team at the Vagliano Trophy. Joanne Nicole Mills (born 18 December 1969) is an Australian golfer, and former player on the Ladies European Tour. Mills was born in Sydney, New South Wales. As an amateur, she won the 1991 New South Wales Strokeplay Championship, the 1992 Tasmanian Strokeplay Championship, and the 1993 Victoria Strokeplay Championship. Martina Eberl
Martina Eberl (born 29 June 1981) is a German professional golfer. She played on the Ladies European Tour (LET) between 2003 and 2012 and won four tournaments. In addition to her four LET wins, Eberl was runner-up at the 2004 BMW Ladies Italian Open, one stroke behind Ana Belén Sánchez, and again at the 2006 Ladies English Open, one stroke behind Cecilia Ekelundh, and in 2008 lost a playoff to Lotta Wahlin at the Wales Ladies Championship of Europe. Lotta Wahlin
Lotta Wahlin (born 13 December 1983 in Linköping) is a retired Swedish professional golfer. She played on the Ladies European Tour 2006–2012 and won three events in 2008. Professional career Wahlin turned professional in June 2004, as she took a step up from the Teen Tour Elite circuit to join the Swedish Golf Tour.
