McAuslan Brewing
McAuslan Brewing is a Canadian brewery opened in January 1989, and its headquarters located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. After Moosehead Breweries Limited became a major (but not majority) shareholder, the brewery expanded into a new facility in 2002. McAuslan is still located on St-Ambroise street in the St-Henri borough and currently produces approximately 70,000 HL of beer annually. In June 2008, Les Brasseurs RJ and La Brasserie McAuslan announced a business partnership specifically for sales, marketing and distribution of their respective brands both within Quebec and beyond. Moosehead Breweries Limited is Canada's oldest independent brewery, located in Saint John, New Brunswick. The brewery was founded in 1867 and is still privately owned and operated by the Oland family. The company is now in the sixth generation of family ownership. In 2003, Moosehead Lager won a Gold award at the World Beer Cup, and earned another at Monde Selection in 2005. In 2015, Moosehead won a single Gold award in the Canadian Brewing Awards where most of the winners are craft beers. Les Brasseurs RJ is a brewery located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The company was founded in 1998 by Roger Jaar from the merger of three microbreweries: Les Brasseurs GMT, La Brasserie Le Cheval Blanc and Les Brasseurs de l'Anse. Current annual production capacity is over 125,000 hL; they claim to be the largest microbrewery in Quebec. They currently employ 450 people, including employees at the head office in Montreal, a distribution centre in Quebec City, and a brewery in l'Anse St-Jean that fills beer kegs. Lachine Canal
The Lachine Canal ( in French (language), French) is a canal passing through the southwestern part of the Island of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, running 14.5 kilometres (9 miles) from the Old Port of Montreal to Lake Saint-Louis, through the boroughs of Lachine (borough), Lachine, LaSalle, Quebec, Lasalle and Le Sud-Ouest, Sud-Ouest.
