Mazhar Kaleem
Mazhar Kaleem (Urdu: مظہر کلیم) (1942 – 2018) was a Pakistani novelist chiefly known in Imran Series, Urdu spy fiction written within Imran Series mythos created by Ibn-e-Safi. He was known for writing the Imran Series and had written short stories for children as well. He was the anchorperson of a saraiki radio talk show from Radio Multan, "Jamhoor-de-Awaz". He was a lawyer who was elected Senior Vice-President of Multan Bar Council. The Imran Series is an Urdu spy novel series created by famous Pakistani writer Ibn-e-Safi. Ali Imran is the pivotal character, a comical secret agent who controls the Secret Service as X-2 but appears to work as a normal member of the Secret Service. Except for a handful of people, no one knows his status as the chief of the Service. The first book, Khaufnaak Imarat (The Terrifying Building), was published in October 1955. In early books Imran appears as a solo detective, but later in the ninth book, Dhuaen ki Tehreer (The Scribbling in Smoke), he is portrayed as the chief of Secret Service as X-2. Imran Series is a series of Urdu spy novels originally created by famous Pakistani author Ibn-e-Safi. More than two hundred writers illegally wrote on Imran Series including Mazhar Kaleem. According to available record Kaleem first "Imran Series" novel was ''Maka Zonga'' which was published by the name of "N Safi" in which he first introduced the character of Captain Shakeel, who was transferred from Military Intelligence. It was published in the late 1960s or early 1970s. Later on (approx. during 1973 to 1975) "Jamal Publisher Bohar Gate Multan" published his first novel on his Pen name "Mazhar Kaleem". Saraiki People
The Saraikis ( skr, ), are an Indo-Aryan ethnolinguistic group inhabiting parts of central and southeastern Pakistan, primarily in the southern part of the Pakistani province of Punjab They are mainly found in a region of southern Punjab known as Saraikistan, as well as in most parts of Derajat, which is located in the region where southwestern Punjab, southeastern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and northeastern Balochistan meet. Derajat is bound by the Indus River to the east and the Sulaiman Mountains to the west. The Saraiki people follow many religions, though most are predominantly followers of Islam. A small minority of Saraikis follow Chistianity, Hinduism and Sikhism. Multan
Multan (; ) is a city in Punjab, Pakistan, on the bank of the Chenab River. Multan is Pakistan's seventh largest city as per the 2017 census, and the major cultural, religious and economic centre of southern Punjab.
