Ghulam Nabi Kashmiri
Ghulam Nabi Kashmiri (2 July 1965 – 7 November 2019) was a Kashmiri Muslim scholar and jurist who served as the senior professor of hadith at Darul Uloom Waqf. He also taught hadith at Jamia Ziya al-Uloom and Jamiat al-Tayyibat in Poonch. He was among the early graduates of Darul Uloom Waqf and authored books such as ''Hayat-e-Tayyib'', a biography of Muhammad Tayyib Qasmi. Asad Madni
As’ad Madani (27 April 1928 – 6 February 2006) was an Indian Deobandi Islamic scholar and a politician, who served as the sixth general secretary and the seventh President of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind. He was a member of the executive body of Darul Uloom Deoband. He was a member of the Rajya Sabha, upper house of the Parliament of India representing Uttar Pradesh for three terms as a member of the Indian National Congress. Muhammad Salim Qasmi
Muhammad Salim Qasmi Siddiqi (8 January 1926 — 14 April 2018) was an Indian Muslim scholar who co-founded the Darul Uloom Waqf in Deoband and served as its first rector. He was an alumnus of Darul Uloom Deoband. He received the fourth Shah Waliullah Award and was honoured with the Mark of Distinction from Egypt. Biography Muhammad Salim Qasmi was born on 8 January 1926 at Deoband into the Siddiqi family of Nanauta. He was the eldest son of Muhammad Tayyib Qasmi. Qasmi graduated from Darul Uloom Deoband in 1948 where his teachers included Hussain Ahmed Madani, Izaz Ali Amrohi, Ibrahim Balyawi and Syed Fakhrul Hasan Moradabadi. Mahmud Hasan Deobandi
Mahmud Hasan Deobandi (also known as Shaykh al-Hind; 1851–1920) was an Indian Muslim scholar and an activist of the Indian independence movement, who co-founded the Jamia Millia Islamia university and launched the Silk Letter Movement for the freedom of India. He was the first student to study at the Darul Uloom Deoband seminary. His teachers included Muhammad Qasim Nanautawi and Mahmud Deobandi, and he was authorized in Sufism by Imdadullah Muhajir Makki and Rashid Ahmad Gangohi. Izaz Ali Amrohi
Izaz Ali Amrohi ( ur, ; November 1882 – 1955) was an Indian Islamic scholar who served as the second and ninth Grand Mufti of the Darul Uloom Deoband. His book ''Nafahtul Arab'' is taught in madrassas including the Darul Uloom Deoband. Biography Izaz Ali Amrohi was born in November 1882 in Amroha. Abdul Khaliq Sambhali
Abdul Khaliq Sambhali (4 January 1950 – 30 July 2021) was an Indian Muslim scholar and writer who served as the vice-rector of Darul Uloom Deoband. He was an alumnus of the Deoband seminary and had studied with scholars including Mahmud Hasan Gangohi, Muhammad Tayyib Qasmi and Syed Fakhruddin Ahmad. Abdul Haq Azmi (1928 – 30 December 2016) was an Indian Muslim scholar who was a senior professor of hadith at the Darul Uloom Deoband. He was an alumnus of Darul Uloom Mau and Darul Uloom Deoband. Kafīlur Rahmān Nishāt Usmānī (5 March 1942 – 1 August 2006) was an Indian Muslim scholar, jurist, and a poet who served as a Mufti of Darul Uloom Deoband. He was the grandson of Azizur Rahman Usmani. Aziz-ul-Rahman Usmani (also written as Azizur Rahman Usmani) (died 1928) was an Indian Sunni Muslim scholar who served as first Grand Mufti of Darul Uloom Deoband. He is best known for his ''Fatawa Darul Uloom Deoband''. His brother was Shabbir Ahmad Usmani. Biography Aziz-ul-Rahman Usmani was born in 1275 AH into the Usmani family of Deoband.
